What People Are Saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does Not Fill With Enough Water for Washing Some areas of the clothing are still dry when the load is finished. Soil remains on the clothing. I watched how much water fills the tub during a wash, and I found just what I suspected. Just enough water fills the tub just to wet the clothes a bit, and then the tub begins to oscillate. The clothes don’t move anywhere during the wash cycle. It’s just looks like a pile of wet clothes on a merry go round. The fact that the tub is going in circles does nothing if the clothes aren’t actually IN WATER, they are just going on a ride. I have to rewash the same clothes repeatedly, it’s a domestic nightmare! I even use the “Water Plus” feature. This machine clearly has a sensor problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly designed cover Our washer is 3 1/2 years old and the entire cover has fallen apart. Plastic wasn’t a good choice. I get it’s a few years old but considering the price, it shouldnt be cracked in multiple places. Getting it to lock is crazy- the back doesn’t even close in order to get the front to lock and wash. Rated 1 out of 5 by from High water usage BUYER BEWARE!! This is a good washer in that it cleans clothes fairly well, however, if you have a septic system and/or you are concerned about water usage, this machine seems to use A LOT of water. The smart controls ultimately establish the water level based on the load size/weight. It appears to use over 30 gallons for a typical load. This sounds like just complaining but please consider a front loader only uses 7 gallons and this piece of info is not communicated in any of the literature that we could find, plus.....30+ gallons for one load!! Irresponsible!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EXTRA LARGE CAPACITY We love this washer, it's been just over a year and it runs flawlessly. Clothes come out perfect every load. Our only complaint, its impossible to reach the bottom of the machine. We had to get a grabber claw to get those random socks or panties left at the bottom. If your short, you'll never reach the bottom of the tub. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful machine Have had this machine for 2 years now, and regret the day I purchased it. Synthetic clothing comes out smelling worse than before it was "washed". Towels also never come out smelling clean despite using the "towels" cycle. I have used several different types of "he" detergent with the same result. It doesn't rinse properly - clothes come out with white streaks on them (soap suds) and many times I have to wash my synthetics and towels a second time just to attempt to get them somewhat clean enough to wear without "stinking". Dreadful design. Would never recommend this product, or buy an LG washer again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't clean clothes This is the worst washer I've ever owned. You have to wash everything twice to get it smelling even remotely clean. At 2+ hour cycles, count on 5 hours to wash a single load, and that's without drying. Shortly after buying the unit, the plastic panel started to peel away and it looks horrible. I cannot believe how people can rate this peice of garbage highly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
