“Learning the Lessons of Affordable and Accessible ICT”- LG Puts Spotlight on Innovative Solutions for Education at BETT 2010

-Solutions Provider Highlights How to Broaden ICT Access to More Learners with Interactive Sessions and Customer Workshops

Olympia, London, 12 January 2010 – Underlining its ability to help schools, colleges and universities generate more learning value from their ICT budgets , LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in electronics, is demonstrating  its ground-breaking solutions for education at BETT 2010 this week (13-16 January 2010, Olympia, London, Stand U128).




 LG products on display include monitors, network displays, educational projectors, digital signage solutions, networked storage and educational security products.




 The company will be giving away a free LG Network Monitor Package as a competition prize on each day of the show.  Together, the solutions that comprise the package are capable of supporting the development of accessible and affordable interactive teaching.




 In addition, in line with its role as one of the sector’s leading technology pioneers, LG is sponsoring the show’s flagship Innovation Seminar Theatre. At 5pm on Thursday 14 January, it will host a 45-minute interactive session at the theatre, focusing on how schools and colleges can use innovative technology solutions to deliver more learning value from their ICT budgets.






 This will feature presentations from Barrie Guy, general manager of the company’s new Business to Business Group within Business Solutions, who will discuss the role of the new group and Andy Hogston, corporate account manager, Business Solutions, who will outline the benefits of Network Monitor. It will also include short speeches from Martin Moore from LG customer, Waltham Forest College; and Peter Hopton from LG partner, Verypc, who will discuss the environmental advantages of LG’s innovative Network Monitors.


The Network Monitor solution will also be the centrepiece of two customer workshops hosted by LG at the show, demonstrating how schools and colleges are achieving far-reaching benefits from the devices. The first will be held at 11.00am and 2.30pm on Wednesday 13th January and showcase Barry Island Primary School’s implementation of LG Network Monitors. The second will run at 11.00am and 2.30pm on Thursday 14th January and highlight the how Waltham Forest College has benefited from the solution.


LG Electronics’ appearance at BETT reflects growing market demand for its products and highlights the company’s increased focus on education together with the higher levels of investment and resource it is dedicating to the sector.

And we are delighted to have the opportunity to use this important show to demonstrate our ability to provide more access to ICT solutions for more learners and to drive the development of interactive teaching across the education sector.
