LG Donates Percentage of Air Con Sales to Hospitality Industry Charity

Slough – 29 June 2010 – LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in electronics, has announced that 2% of the revenue from all air conditioning sales to hotels, restaurants and other members of the British Hospitality Association (BHA)  will be donated to the industry’s charity, Hospitality Action.
The move is part of an ongoing partnership between LG’s air conditioning division and the BHA. This relationship was formed to give BHA members advice on how to maximise the efficiency of their air conditioning systems, particularly in light of current legislation such as the new Air Conditioning Inspection (ACI) requirements and the phasing out of the R22 refrigerant
Hospitality Action is the industry’s benevolent organisation which provides vital financial support and advice to all those who work or have worked within the hospitality sector and, in many cases, their dependants. It was first formed in 1858, but continues to thrive and is currently supporting over 1,500 people with grants and practical advice.
“Hospitality Action is an extremely worthwhile organisation and we are delighted to show our commitment to the industry in this way,” says Paul Hopkins, general manager LG Air Conditioning.
