LG SOLAR in Intersolar Europe 2018

The Energy Business Unit showcases the best technology and solutions for the solar industry at Intersolar Europe 2018.



From June 20 to 22, over 3 days, “Intersolar Europe 2018” was held in Munich, Germany.

As one of the 4 major global solar energy expos, “Intersolar Europe 2018” displayed and demonstrated a variety of solar energy technology and their applications using the sun’s rays and heat.
At this great expo, visitors were able to see the new technology and trends of the solar industry.

LG participated in the Expo where installers, EPCs, and distributors from many countries were
gathered and actively promoted the excellent technology and solutions of their products.
LG also made efforts to enhance their premium image through this Expo.

Also, LG operated an exhibition booth zone separated into 3 sections with the 3 goals of
“promoting High-Powered Premium products,” “enhancing the company image as Home Energy
Total Solution,” and “promoting Value-Add products.”



This zone was set up to promote the High-Powered Premium products, “NeON® R” and “NeON® 2” with the emphasis that these products were made from the technology that has long led the solar industry.

The Key USP explanation on its high-efficiency module generating more energy than existing ones, being a top performer producing stable and high energy even at high temperatures, its 25-year warranty, sophisticated design, and other aspects attracted many visitors.



This zone was set up to show that a Home Energy Total Solution is possible with just LG products.

In the European market, where the self-generated electricity rate is high, there is a strong demand for a convenient and effective self-generated energy system.
Therefore, the visitors were very interested in the Home Energy Solution Zone.

ESS/HEMS was especially displayed as a block diagram so that the visitors could easily understand the system. Visitors were also able to experience the “Monitoring Application” via the introduction video (HEMS), smartphones, and laptops.



The final zone displayed Value-Add products. The “Solar Car Roof” is made from Back Contact technology, and it boasts of a premium car roof design, increased mileage from massive energy generation, and reduced carbon dioxide. This was displayed alongside the “NeON® 2 Optimizer,” which is safe, quick to install, and has an array design. Also, the “NeON® 2 BiFacial,” with the advantages of double-sided generation, additional energy yield, and more, was introduced to the visitors.


LG’s Energy Business Unit plans to actively and continuously promote the main products,
“NeON® R” and “NeON® 2,” and its image as a company that can offer a Home Energy Total Solution.
With the continuous effort of the Energy Business Unit, it is expected to greatly increase
LG’s market share in the solar energy market with its products in the future.
