LG Announces to Roll Out Upgrade Firmware
(Hong Kong – 1 November 2012) As a leading provider of home entertainment products, LG is dedicated to delivering the best home entertainment experience to our customers.
In spite of above, recently some issue of TV power switch being on/off automatically occurred due to the temporary software crash in some of our products (LM series) during the progress of decoding program information sent by the Public broadcasting station.
Today, LG will be rolling out upgraded firmware to optimize features in LG Smart TVs and to address the power on/off issue that have affected some units.
LG is providing several upgrade options to accommodate the different requirements of our customers.
1. The firmware upgrade option will be streamed to LG Smart TV directly.
This option will be available starting 6 November 2012.
2. Customers may contact the LG Call Center at (852) 3543-7777 to arrange on-site service by qualified LG technicians.
This option will be available starting today.
3. Customers may pick up a free USB flash drive containing the upgraded firmware from LG Customer Care Centre.
