LG makes another landmark achievement

New Delhi, January 07, 2008: LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., an emerging leading player in the IT segment announced its landmark achievement of selling 1 million DVD writers in Y2007. LG’s estimated market share in this segment now stands at 41%, which clearly substantiates its leadership position.

The growth over 2006 has been a whopping 364%. The sales have 85% contribution from trade and 15% contribution from OEM partners.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. R. Manikandan, Business Group Head, IT Division, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. said, “It has been a proud achievement for us and the results substantiate our technological edge in the industry. The excellent quality of products resulting in least product failures, backed with efficient after sales service has been the key factor in achieving the volumes.”

He further said, “We will sustain such momentum in 2008 also and aim to double the volume this year. Channel partners have a critical role to play in our success and I take this opportunity to thank our partners for their consistent support and the enthusiasm they have demonstrated for all our products.”
