 Symptom

 

              There is an apparent smell or odor coming from indoor unit

 Cause

 

            1. Accumulation of dust on the indoor fins.

            2. Ensure that the drain line is not terminated to a sewer point or has not been installed in accordance to local standards.

               .

            3. Check if the air filter is free of dust.

 

 

 

 Cause 1

             Accumulated dust on the indoor fins may cause musty smell during operation.

  Checkpoint  

              Make sure the cooling fins inside the air conditioner filter are free of dust.

 How to fix

             1. Remove the inner air filter. Apply the cleaning spray and wait for 10 minutes.
             2. Set the temperature at 18
and let the air conditioner to run for an hour.
              
Do not spray on circuit boards.

 

                 

 

 Cause 2

 

                        2. Ensure that the drain line is not terminated to a sewer point or has not been installed contrary to local standards.

 

 

 Checkpoint

 

             Make sure the drain hose is not installed near the sewer.

 

 How to fix

           

             Relocate the drain hose away from the sewer.

 

            

 

 Cause 3

 

             Check if the air filter is free of dust.

 How to clean the air filter

            1. Lift up the front cover to find the filter.

            2. Take out the filter. Wash and dry completely in shade before placing it back.

                Please clean the filters every two weeks to maintain the product performance.

 

 

 

 

          How to clean the air filter in the wall-mounted air conditioner

     

             Method of locating filter will vary from Model to model please refer to owner’s manual  

 

Example only

 

                  1. Pull the front panel forward with both hands.

                  2. Press the hook to fix the front panel.

 

                       

 

                   3. Remove the air filter.

                   4. Give the filter a good clean with a vacuum cleaner or soft brush (Washing with water helps to remove heavy soils).

                   5. Dry completely in shade. Place back the filter in and close the front panel.

                            

                                 Assemble in the back order.
