Google Now – Now on Tap
Function
In Lollipop, when you swipe up the home button, you’ll be taken to “Google Now.” In Marshmallow,
that function has been changed to press and hold, and you will be taken to “Now on Tap.”
This will provide you with the relevant information that you see on the app without leaving the app.
In this example, you see that the conversation is about a movie. You trigger “Now on Tap” to see
what movie it is. Currently Now on Tap is available in English only in the US, preparing services
in more languages/countries.
1. When you use it for the first time, you’ll see an information box asking you if you’d like to turn it on.
