The kind of fresh air you can only find in lush forests or waterfalls like Niagara Falls is now in your fridge.

Straddling the Canada and US International Border, the Niagara Falls is the highest natural producer of negative ions (anions), making it one of the healthiest environments in the world.

Anions make the air fresh and rejuvenating, making you feel instantly refreshed and invigorated when you breathe it in.

An important new development in taking healthy home living to new heights is LG’s Green Plasma – the world’s first plasma technology in a refrigerator.

“Green Plasma in LG Health+ refrigerators can extract up to 2 million anions (measured from 16cm away), an amount similar to that found at Niagara Falls,” said Raymond Hernandez, corporate marketing head of LG Electronics Philippines.

“It not only prevents the spread of harmful microbes, it also purifies the air and enhances cell activation that keeps food fresher for a longer period of time.”

In recognition of it positive effects to the quality of food, LG’s Green Plasma Technology has been certified by the Japan Food Research Laboratory (JNRL), an international research institution that aims to improve the quality of food.

While some refrigerators vent cold air through the side walls, only LG has developed an innovative three-way ventilation cooling system – on the door, sides and back -- to ensure an even temperature inside the fridge, which is particularly helpful in keeping foods farm-fresh.

By releasing the ions into the Health+ fridge’s interior, the Green Plasma works in tandem with the extracts from the Green Catechin tea leaves to eliminate bacteria and remove odors. The ions also contain the vitamin C in your food, which helps consumers maintain a balanced and nutritious diet.

A natural antibiotic with certain anti-aging properties, the Green Catechin found in LG Refrigerators has been proven to be effective in helping slow down the spoiling of fresh foods. Meanwhile, vaporized vitamins dispensed by the LG ref’s Vitamin Plus function works by generating vitamin C, a well-known anti-oxidant, helping preserve food’s freshness and moisture.

Effective and practical, the Vitamin Plus function has a lifespan of between eight and nine years, and helps fruit and vegetables retain up to 1.7 times more vitamin C than if they were stored in a conventional fridge.

While LG refrigerators may be packed with an array of health-conscious features, the new LG Health+ refrigerator makes no compromises when it comes to energy saving and design.

With just a simple click of the exterior controller, consumers can operate every function of the freezer and its many compartments without opening the door of the ref.

Also, the control panel on the door gives the fridges a sleek finish that fits seamlessly into almost any kitchen environment. In addition, LG’s signature glass-etched flower patterns ensure that the fridge is as easy on the eye as it is healthy, reliable and practical.
