LG PHONES ON SOLID FOOTING IN CEBU
Cebu City, April 21, 2010 – After putting up its Visayas branch last year, LG put more solid footing for its mobile phones in the “Queen City of the South”.
LG Electronics, a global leader and innovator in consumer electronics, and Cebu-based mobile phone dealer JUNREX have engaged in a joint partnership to run a new mobile concept shop, aiming to provide consumers with the best mobile phone options and secure a better market position in Cebu. The new LG Mobile Concept Shop showcases various handsets that provide a sophisticated and refreshing mobile experience to customers through its smart technology and stylish design.
Located at 3rd floor SM Cyberzone, Cebu City, “the shop offers consumers a hub where they can spend more time evaluating products and making a purchase, to ensure that they are happy and fully satisfied with the product,” said Jun Yap, owner of JUNREX.
Meanwhile, LG’s popular Cookie handset returns to continue its legacy and comes with updated and upgraded smart features to offer joyful touch screen experience.
“Cebuanos can now get a taste of the new Cookie from the shop,” said Raymond Hernandez, corporate marketing head of LG Electronics Philippines.
“Sociable, enjoyable, and affordable, the LG Cookie Series continues the core value of the original Cookie phone which was to lower the barrier to make it possible for every mobile user to experience touch screen technology.”

The LG Cookie Series originates from the idea of a basketful of new cookies with a variety of flavors that meet the tastes of different consumers.
Hernandez added that the new LG Cookie Series upgrades the enjoyable and sociable user experience with captivating user interface, improved connectivity, and SNS capabilities with variety of design variations to choose from.
The first Cookie, the LG KP500, made its worldwide debut in October 2008, recording sales of over 13 million units. It is LG’s fifth phone to achieve this impressive milestone following the LG Chocolate, LG Shine, LG KP100 and LG KG270.
The Cookie reached the mark in a mere 13 months, making it the fastest-selling full touch phone in LG’s history and helping position LG as the leader in full touch screen experience.
