People with hearing disabilities, sometimes use headphones to listen to television broadcasts.
In these situations the other people in the room use the normal tv speakers.
However the 2014 WebOs models do not allow simultaneous output to headphones and internal speakers.
This was solved in the 2015 WebOs models.
In the sound-out menu users can select tu use the internal speakers and external speakers at the same time.
Alternatives?
There are some alternative solutions available for 2014 models.
If a user has a setop-box, this can be used to connect the headphones to.
This will solve the problem for television channels, but not for apps or other media.
Another option is to connect the television to a Home Theatre System that supports simultaneous output to speakers and headphones.
This is perfect if the users also wants to listen to sounds from the apps.
A third option can be to buy a system that supports multiple headphones.
