If you’re using Internet Explorer 9 and higher, turn off your Internet Explorer browser’s “Compatibility View settings” by following steps below:

  • Right click at the top of your browser and make sure the “Menu Bar” option is selected
  • Select “Tools” from the menu bar and then select “Compatibility View settings”
  • In the pop-up menu uncheck all three boxes and click “Close”
  • Your browser window will automatically refresh and you’ll be ready to go

Discover the New Features of Nougat

Multi window added

Multi window has been added.
You can now use two apps at the same time by touching and holding the Overview button in an app.
From the Overview screen, you can also tap the Multi window button or drag an app to the top.
Note Apps that are not built for the newest Android version may not work properly in Multi window.

Display size setting added

You can now adjust the size of the items on the screen to your liking.
Go to Settings > Display > More > Display size and drag the slider to the size you want.
Some items may change position.

Quick settings changed

Quick settings in the notification panel has been changed to let you see more settings with a tap.
From the notification panel, tap the down arrow icon in the top right corner or swipe down.

App notifications made easier

App notifications are now easier to manage.
You can now reply directly to someone's message from a social networking app within the notification.
You can also silence or block an app's notifications within the notification panel.
Touch and hold on a notification to see the options.

Statuses and suggestions added

You can now easily manage settings that are being used and see suggestions on what to use in Settings.
Tap the bell icon in the top right of the screen to see what settings you are using and what you could be using.

Blocked numbers added

You can now block both calls and messages from a number by just adding it once.
Before, calls and messages were blocked separately.
Now, you can block them both at once. Touch and hold a number in your call logs and tap Block number.
In Messaging, tap Block number in the menu of a conversation.
Blocked calls will not appear in your call logs.

Data saver added

You can now restrict mobile data in the background by going to Settings > Mobile data.

Language settings changed

You can now reorder languages based on priority in Settings > General > Language & keyboard > Language.
Out of the languages added, apps will display the first compatible language.

App data setting added

You can now store app data on the SD card, instead of the internal storage, to save space.
Go to Settings > Apps and select an app. Tap Storage and change the storage for app data to the SD card.

Theme added

You can now change the wallpaper, app icons, font, etc. to a theme of your choice in Settings > Display > Theme.
Download themes for more choices.
Note Home themes downloaded from LG SmartWorld will not be immediately available.
Check LG SmartWorld to see when the themes are available.

Lock screen changed

You can now see more of your notifications. Swipe on the Lock screen to unlock if you have a secure screen lock.
Before, notifications and the time appeared on the same screen as the secure screen lock.
Now, the secure screen lock will have its own screen so you have more room to see your notifications.
See the secure screen lock when you tap a notification or swipe on an empty area on the Lock screen.
Then, you can enter your knock code, pattern, PIN or password to unlock.
