LG to exhibit digital technologies tailored to the changing needs of the UK public sector
Slough, 19 May 2010 –  LG Electronics is pleased to announce it will join the line up of leading public sector suppliers as a major exhibitor at SmartGov 2010 on 15th – 16th June in London’s Docklands.
The first major public sector conference since the UK election, SmartGov will bring together over 60 exhibitors, together with an estimated 4,000 ICT professionals from across the public sector to showcase new products and services, hear leading figures discuss topical issues and network with top industry personalities over the two day conference period.
As part of its strategy for delivering innovative technology for green business solutions, LG will present its range of commercial display units, 3D TVs, LED monitors and projectors as well as its groundbreaking Network Monitor Solution that helps large organisations to save energy, money and the environment.  In a recent keynote speech – Green Computing Solutions – Barrie Guy, LG Business Solutions Manager addressed the ways in which the latest LG network monitor technology can reduce energy use and emissions – now a government mandate – as well saving energy costs by up to 80%.
“Since the publication of the Digital Britain Report, the interest in all that technology can offer our public sector has continued to grow. At the same time, the pressure to deliver green technology that is as efficient as it is affordable has gathered momentum,” says Barrie Guy.
“Today, with a new government tackling unprecedented economic circumstances, the need for lean and green ICT solutions across the public sector has never been greater.”
