When my G6 is linked to a carkit via mirroring application, the screen is discoloured or distorted
Issue
When linked to a carkit via mirroring application screen is discoloured or distorted
Cause
Some applications such as Car Link use their own transfer mechanism (instead of Mirrorlink) and are unable to detect the correct aspect ratio.
Solution
When using certain mirroring apps such as the “Car Link” please change aspect ratio of the app to match the aspect ratio of the carkit.
How to change ratio:
1. Open Settings > Display tab > App Scaling.
2. Select the application (such as “Car Link”).
3. Select the appropriate screen ratio and press OK to apply.
