Why do I hear a 'boom boom boom' noise when my LG tumble dryer first starts its cycle?

Operation

'Boom Boom' noise when unit first started

The drum is placed on a roller wheel which is made of rubber. Some parts of the wheel get flattened due to the weight of the drum while the product is not in use.

The 'Boom Boom Boom' sound you hear at the beginning of the program is generated when the flattened part returns to the original shape as the drum starts to rotate.

The sound can last up to 5 minutes after starting but will eventually disappear. This is not a fault with your unit.
