My LG Tumble dryer has come up with a 'Filter Error' during normal usage, what do I do?

Troubleshooting

Product coming up with Filter Error during normal operation

This error can occur when the product is operating without assembling a lint filter. If the magnet that is mounted inside the internal filter is not detected by the unit then the ‘Filter Error’ icon blinks and the operation will stop.

1) If an error occurs because the lint filter was not assembled.

Use the dryer after correctly assembling the lint filter on the product.
The lint filter is composed of two filters, internal and external. Check whether both filters have been assembled.

2) If an error occurs even though the lint filter is assembled.

Check whether the internal filter magnet is correctly placed.
The magnet may fall out of its place during filter cleaning, and the filter may not be correctly detected if the magnet is out of its place.

In case the magnet is sticking out of its place, press it back into its original place.

If the magnet is lost, visit the service centre and purchase a new dust filter.
