What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The energy saver works well. Bought this to cool a 5 room apartment on one level and it does a great job. It was 90 degrees out and it kept the apartment at 68 degrees all day. I recommend this to anyone looking for a act unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the price This is the second one of this model for us to own. The last one was damaged in a thunderstorm. We liked it so much that we just had to have another. Particularly like the energy saving mode. Very efficient and low cost to operate.

how does timer work.

Will it come on at a certain time or just run a certain amount of time
Asked by: Hawkeye8
It will just run a certain amount of time. It's not a clock set model.

I bought the LW1515er window AC about 4 weeks ago. I try to run it on the economy and it comes on every three minutes for about 15 seconds and never

stops when the temperature is reached. When I put it on normal air and set the temperature to 70 the unit never shuts off when the room temperature is 70 or below...I am not very happy with my purchase at this point.
Asked by: cfbarry
With ours, we have the same problem with putting it on Economy. We just run it on Auto, until it's the temp in the room we want. We just have to use the remote control when it reaches a comfortable temperature, then turn it back on again, when it starts getting too warm inside. Our 5,000 unit BTU LG, DOES automatically go off when desired temp is reached. Wish this model had that feature!

the clean filter light stays on even after cleaning the removable filter, is there some where else to clean?

Asked by: Burdette
push the temperature up and down buttons at the same time and it will reset the filter light, it will go off until approximately 250 hours have passed.

How to install black frame guides

How do I install the black frame guides for Model # LW1515ER air conditioner? There appears to be two slots to insert the guide but on the guide itself there is also a round protuberance and there is no corresponding hole in the metal chassis. The image in the manual is useless!
Asked by: Megz
Never mind. I figured it out after downloading the manual and enhancing the image to 200% so I could actually see how they are tilting the guide into the slots. Perhaps not making the manual images so small would help. If I didn't have online access I'd still be struggling. thanks.

Should I remove styroform from AC unit before installing in cabinet?

Asked by: mpjunk
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. No; do not remove Styrofoam from the air conditioner, unless it is in the Air Return Duct. The other Styrofoam is for insulation and sound reduction of the operations.
