What people are saying
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality This model did not last three years, it started making a terrible noise and vibrating awful around Sept. 2015, I thought it was the motor so I replaced it and that wasn't the problem it turned out to be the compressor which finally went completely out in May 2016. I purchased the unit from Wal Mart in May 2013. The only reason I bought another LG air conditioner is because I thought it would fit in the hole I took the other one out of, otherwise I would have never bought another one and I would never recommend anyone else buy one. anyone else buy one as long as I live.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Air Conditioner Bought this air conditioner to replace a 14 year old unit that died. Has all the features I need, but especially like the Dehumidifier feature on this model as Florida summers are very humid. Would recommend this unit to someone who is in need of a new air conditioner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping Cool in TN This window unit not only keeps the kitchen it's installed in cool, it cools down the adjoining dining room/office and living room very well (our floor plan is open so air circulates freely from room to room). I can set it on 'power save' or just use the 3 speed fan when I'm the only one home - that's a real money saver! It's a lot quieter than the portable unit we used last year and takes up no floor space, which I love. My husband and I installed it ourselves in a window that has a sill made in the late 1800s and the process was amazingly smooth. We are very satisfied customers.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. It is recommended to check for any indicator lights on the display that might denote the TIMER being active. The TIMER function is designed to increase the temperature setting by 2 degrees, each half hour, over the course of an hour. The TEMPERATURE CONTROL is set to range between 16 – 30 degrees if set to Celsius degrees. For additional assistance with this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Is there a drip leg on my unit? Not seeing a whole in the bottom for h20 or condensation.

Asked by: To warm
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. A drain port is available on the back of the cabinet. Frequently it may be covered by a rubberized plug. It is not necessary to remove this plug, as any collected water can be used to improve the operational efficiency of the air conditioner.

My wall is 6inches wide and would not block any of the vents so why couldn't I install this unit in the wall?

Asked by: pally
We appreciate your interest and concern regarding this air conditioner. This particular 18,000 BTU air conditioner was designed specifically for a window installation. When a device is installed in a manner contrary to that for which it was designed, we cannot guarantee proper operation from the device. Such improper operations can lead to damage to the air conditioner which would not be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, as the unit is not being used in the manner for which it was designed.

Does this AC breath air from the back or the sides

I know this unit is meant for window installation. But I would like to put it in the wall. I want to make sure I don't block anything that would overheat the unit.
Asked by: jaindesi
You are right, because of the way window ACs are vented (from the sides) they cannot be installed through the wall.
