Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Fan after 2 years Purchased this unit in June 2014 and now condenser fan is bad. I will try to repair. This unit should have lasted longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SORRY, NO STARS HERE Sorry, we cannot give this unit any stars. We had the unit since 7/21/14 and today 9/15/15 just after the expiration of the 1 year warranty (short of two months) the unit stopped working. It appears that the warranty period was determined based on the life of the unit. LG, why don't you build these items better? As the owner of other LG appliances that do last I know that you can do a better job. Truly dissappointed :-((

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Window Air Conditioner Works Great have other brand but think LG is much cheaper to run. I like that the filter timer goes off in about 2 weeks to keep the AC running most effetely

Back cover? not in the box?

On the back of my new LW2514ER, there are 4 indicators where seemingly, a cover of the backside of the unit may be placed. There was nothing else in the box; no picture or mention of a cover in the in the installation notes. can seem to upload my picture here What type of material can such a cover be made of? Can you replace the missing one that was not in my box?

We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. This model, while compatible with a rear grille, was not designed to be distributed with such an accessory. We have no recommendations to offer on the grille to be used.

I have a LW2514ER Unit Check Vent Light

How do I get this light to go away once i clean the vent ?
Asked by: LW2514ER
The ‘Clean Filter’ LED will light up to notify you that your filter needs to be cleaned. After cleaning the filter, press the “Temp UP/DOWN” buttons simultaneously in order to deactivate the ‘Clean Filter’ light. (The Filter Reset must be done from unit control panel and not from the remote control).

Does the LW2514ER unit cycle off (shut completely off) as demand lessens?

I am wanting to buy a new window AC unit that cycles on and off just like my 110v unit does.
Asked by: deschman
Yes depending on the thermostat, and economy settings you establish on your unit. the unit should cycle on and off once the desired temperature is achieved in the area you are cooling.

Can the LW 2514ER be installed through a wall?

Can it be installed through a wall? If so, is there a "sleeve" that can be bought for it? Can the unit be hard-wired for 230V or does it plug in?
