What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well for my bedroom Bought this larger model (8000 v 5000 btu) and it cools my small bedroom down very well. I love the modes settings like energy saver, timer and temperafire controls. If I open my door it doesn’t cool down the rest of the apartment like I had hoped but it was a good deal for the price and quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cooling I have tried several brands of this size window unit and LG, by far, cools the room faster and colder than the others. It was a great purchase!

How do you reset the clean light and make it turn off

Asked by: Bonz
The Clean Filter LED will light up to give notification that the filter needs to be cleaned. After doing so, press the TEMP UP and TEMP DOWN buttons together to deactivate this indicator light. This must be done from the control panel of the machine. The remote control will not be able to perform this reset.

My window ac has a black lever that goes in or you can pull it out what. Is that for

Asked by: Yankees1
We appreciate your interest in this window air conditioner. This black lever, when pulled out, allows a small measure of fresh air to be drawn into the room. Pressing this lever back in will seal this opening, allowing only re-circulated air into the room.

How to clean it

Asked by: PFlores
The air filter in the LG Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW8015ER can be removed from the unit by pulling the front grille forward and pulling the air filter up and out and then washed in lukewarm water below 40˚ C (104˚ F). After washing it, make sure to shake the excess water from it before replacing it. The front grille and inlet grille on the unit can be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened in a mild detergent solution. The cabinet may be washed with mild soap or detergent and lukewarm water, then polished with liquid wax for appliances. The condenser coils should be checked periodically and cleaned if clogged with soot or dirt from the atmosphere. You will find these instructions in the 'Maintenance and Care section on page 20 of your owner's manual for this unit...^IFV

My a/c unit is brand new. When I turned it on for the first time it sounded like the fan was making clicking noises like its hitting something. What could the problem be?

Asked by: Furu69
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. Some new models will have the owner’s manual, and part of the installation kit, located in the air return duct, which can slide in far enough to reach the fan. It is suggested to check for this possibility. If this is not the case, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional assistance.
