Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value - Great Battery Life - Recommended The LG Tone (HBS700) is an excellent product. I have used these almost every day for the past 1-2 years without any problems. The battery life is way better than any other products I have tested. Additionally the sound quality is pretty good, in fact, I would say very good when considering these are bluetooth. I use these for working out, making calls, and while mowing the grass in my yard. Also note, for music, you can give the sound a boost in quality by holding down the + and - volume buttons for a couple of seconds. I didn't know about this boost until I had these for over 6 months and was quite pleased with the added punch that was delivered. I know there are other products (even updates from LG) on the market but for my money, these are awesome. I haven't seen (or heard) a bluetooth headset that has this good of battery life and happens to also sound good for this price. Highly recommended!

My ear canals are very small for an adult so I bought BudLoks which secures them in my ear. Nice to be wireless and listen to podcasts and music and be able to answer phone without a big hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The sound is GREAT! I bought two pairs of these headphones- one for my husband, and one for myself. He uses his mainly for answering calls in the car. I use mine for listening to music and audiobooks at work. I thought I would have a problem with them, because I don't like things around my neck. No turtleneck sweaters... no scarves wrapped around... but these are flexible enough that you know they are there, but they sit just in the right spot- right on that neckbone, so you don't feel uncomfortable or choked at all. The 'talk time' is 10 hours. In my experience- that is 10 hours BEFORE it starts getting spotty. People have said that they experience problems when the phone swings behind the headphones, but the only connection problems that I have ever experienced, is that you may experience brief interruptions when you put water between you and your phone. #I work in a small office, and I can roam around the office while leaving my cell phone on my desk. The only problem I have had was using the restroom or washing my hands in the breakroom. Hence the water between you and your phone comment.# For calls: The quality is very good. I don't generally like using headphones for calls, because in my past experience, whether corded or wireless- people usually have problems hearing me. But- I am heard just fine on these. I used to be a phone service rep, so I automatically cup the microphone, so that I can be heard when it's windy. #For those of you who had a problem with taking calls on windy days.# For music: The sound quality is excellent. Matter of fact- these are probably the best pair of headphones I have ever owned. Some audiobooks are recorded low, and you have to turn the sound all the way up on regular headphones to be able to hear the narrator. On these headphones- the loudest I've probably ever had them was halfway. Cons: The little plastic cord managers are very easy to break off. My husband has broken two already. I had pity on him and gave him one of mine, but now he has broken that one as well. Also- the little silver label with the model number on it could be placed somewhere else, just because it sits at the base of your neck- eventually your perspiration and the rubbing against your skin is going to peel it right off. That's right- the only drawbacks I've seen so far are completely cosmetic. I do have a warning though- because of the weird way these things are shaped- you will have perfect strangers come up to you and ask you about them. I've been stopped a number of times #usually in a grocery store# by people with questions. How much it costs... how good is the sound quality... does it chafe your neck at all...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Bluetooth Headset The sound quality is great especially when you consider that it is a Bluetooth headset. Pairing is fast and easy. There are only 2 issues. The mic has an issue with wind noise while on calls with other people they have complained. The Bluetooth is also sensitive to any obstructions including your body. So if I hold my phone in my hand while walking; while on the back swing the headset will disconnect. I loved this headset so much I bought my fiancée one and she loves it too. Just know that it is not 100% perfect yet.

I am on the road for hours at a time and this is very convenient for anybody who is active. I forget its even around my neck because it weighs next to nothing. I would highly recommend this to anybody. I love this so much that I even bought one fo my wife.

I have a Galaxy S4 phone and I've read other reviews that people are having the same issue. LG has not made any updates to rectify the problem on any of their LG Tone headsets.

Originally used as stereo headphones for running and exercise. Yet the noise cancelling of the HBS-700 series allow me to hold conversations in noisy environments. The battery life is outstanding. I bought a pair for my son who enjoys it thoroughly. When we added a third headset to the family, we bought the HBS-730 because this headset has worked so well.

There doesn't seem, for example, to be an indicator when either the battery is low, or fully charged... I've searched the site for some support info.. but I can't find any. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying this product

Go for a jog, dance around the house, work while listening to your favorite music. Do this and more. Connect to two devices at once! You can make calls and listen to your mp3 player.. At the same time! And still no wires! You've got a busy life ahead you. Don't let wires drag you down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, I love them! But... I love my Tones, the weight is great, they pair easily with my phone, tablet and iPad. They stay in my ear while running on the road or treadmill. And the sound quality is GREAT! Best bluetooth I have ever uesd for talk/listen. I tend to abuse them quite a bit by throwing them in my gym bag or purse and when pulling them out they tend to wrap around things. I broke the wire clips off of mine in under a year. LG did replace the clips for free! I have just started putting them in a pouch to protect them, but it would be nice if they came with a case of some kind for the price! I have already recommended to friends and now three people in my office also use these!

I work in server room enviroment and still get comments that i sound like i'm in a can, and the wire that connects the ear buds could be thicker. :-(

Outstanding quality, ease of use, quality sound are just a few of the accolades I would heap on this headset. The form factor however is what I like best. No more fumbling when a call comes in. Place it on your neck and forget about it. Battery life is insanely long. I write very few reviews of the products I own, and having been in the IT industry for over 25 years Ive owned alot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these things Contrary to what may or may not be popular opinion this particular headset is VERY durable. I have had mine for about 3 years and wear it at that gym 6 days a week for about 3 hours and at recently at my job for about 7 hours a day 5 days a week. The sound is quite acceptable, not as good as some over the ear MUCH more expensive headsets I have worn, but if you aren't a dedicated audiophile you won't miss the difference. BT range is good though it does drop at times when I have my phone on me in my pocket (?). My only complaint is that the actual device has become loose and lost it elasticity over the years but I guess that's to be expected. I honestly didn't expect them to last this long

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, great sound I read many reviews for bluetooth headphones and came across this design. Intrigued because I wear glasses and over the ear phones press on the stems over time and become painful. These are exceptionally the point where you forget you're wearing them. The sound is excellent and it is true the large bud covers increase the bass sound dramatically. The controls are simple. I love this product. I am concerned it may be too fragile as many reviews complained they broke down after a short time. I can see this happening as the wiring for the buds looks a bit flimsy. The first thing I noticed is when the clips slide up the neckband it stresses the grommet holding the wires at the base. I took a small strip of scoth tape and wrapped it around the base to prevent the clip from ever sliding up and stressing that connection. I think if you keep a good "stress relief" loop with that wire going stright into the base it should help. I then painted the tape with a sharpie and it's pretty much invisible. I just think the life expectancy of this product depends on the user. If you are careless with the wires and yank on them you'll damage them. I enjoy them so much I plan to treat them gently and hope to avoid the history of breakage, because the have a comfort level that really is awesome.

Doesn't work with laptops, i had to search and search until I found a driver that let me use it with my laptop. But with my phone and my tablet works perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work with a laptop While the packaging and product description say that it works with all bluetooth devices, customer service explained to me that this means it will "connect" to all bluetooth devices, however it may not actually work with all devices. Using the headset with a laptop would require a driver, which they have not developed and do not plan develop (per customer service). Their advertising is very misleading. If you intend to use this to watch movies or listen to music on a laptop, pick another headset.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenience in design and performance For years I have used another manufacturer's behind -the-neck Bluetooth headset. It was over the ears and somewhat heavy. Over time, the tissue-thin plastic covering flaked a way from the ear cushions and was unsightly. The HBS 700 is miniscule, compared to the unit, described above, the user controls.. straight forward and the in-the-ear speakers easy to insert comfortably. Added conveniences are the sound-blocking feature of the design plus the built-in vibrator that informs the wearer of an incoming call, should the earpieces not be inserted, at the time! Small, unobtrusive and dependable!

How do I turn on the bluetooth or get my headset connected to my phone?

With the Power inactive, press the CALL button and move the power switch to the ‘ON’ position at the same time, for 4 seconds. When the headset enters the Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light. On the device you wish to pair, find the Bluetooth menu and “search for” or “add” new devices. Select “LG HBS-700” From the list of devices. If asked for a Pass/Pin Code enter 0000 (4 Zero’s). Once pairing is complete you will hear a beep. The HBS-700 will automatically turn off if not paired within 3 minutes.

I just received a HBS-700 Bluetooth Stereo Headset, I've been charging it for the past 5-6hrs. & the LED indicator is still solid red instead of blue. Does this means something is wrong? Please Help!

When answering a call, the Bluetooth start dialing and has to be disconnected to speak  to the caller. What could be the problem?
