What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Lotus I adore this phone. It is compact, space efficient, has a tightly-located QWERTY keypad (a REAL keypad, not a touchscreen), a decent camera and camcorder, good sound...it could not be better for my uses and needs. Every feature has stood up to HARD daily use except the paint on the keys on the keyboard, but since it's a QWERTY arrangement, that doesn't matter much to me (though it amazes people that I've managed to wear the paint off...likely through using my fingernails to text a LOT). The sound quality is good on the phone and I've used it with two different kinds of bluetooth headsets, both of which have worked well with it. It has a common charging plug, and charges easily and rapidly whether from an AC outlet or from the USB in my car stereo or the USB on my computer. The micro-SD slot allows it to store a large amount of information and many photos and small videos. The size makes it easy to talk on and also easy to stash. I like that it flips open as then it doesn't accidentally slide closed nor does is it easy to accidentally hang up on someone or pocket-dial them. Because of the external touch-screen, which I find particularly useful for activating the speed-dial numbers, it will occasionally pocket-dial when it's first being hung up, but I find this to be relatively infrequent. I LOVE the weight, size, features, functions, and appearance of this phone. It is exactly what I want, even after over 2 years of using it, and I hope to replace my current one with another when it eventually dies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fair Phone The phone has some nice features. I like the email and text buttons and it was easy to set up the email. My biggest complaint is that I cannot shut off the start up sound which is loud and obnoxious and must be heard. The old Lotus was great and allowed the start up sound to be turned off. All other sounds can be turned off. I am not sure if this is an oversight or intention. It is NG either way. I am sure that this can be fixed by a simple firmware upgrade. Dear LG please do that. Also though my previous Lotus never got water on it it died just over one year of use from the sweat that came off my head in the VA weather when using the phone. If you live in a hot area get a headset. Also the external headset jack does not work well and keeps disconnecting using my plantronic headset. That also bites. The touch screen on the front is interesting but of limited use and there is no touch screen on the inside. I am not sure what the thinking was having the touch screen at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had the first lotus and i really liked the first one better. I loved to take pic's on the elite I find it awkward using the camera. The lens always get slighty dirty and my pictures look blurry. It just seems more geared to a left handed person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lotus is the Best The Lotus is so superior to the former cell phones assigned by my former provider - it's worth switching providers just to have it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good upgrade I had the purple lotus lx600. I just recently upgraded to the red lx610. I think that the new lotus is a good upgrade from the old one. It is easy to use and fairly the same as the last lotus. The only thing that I do not like about the lotus is that the touchscreen is not capable of texting or doing anything other then viewing messages, calls, etc. Therefore, it is a tad bit useless. I HOPE that with the next upgrade they will put more features on the touchscreen.
