Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not easy to use I bought this a few weeks ago and have had a few issues with it. As others have mentioned, if you bump into the dials it is easy to turn burners on accidentally. Someone had a great idea ie putting washers on the knobs to make this better...seems to work! Also, the larger burners have 2 or 3 settings depending on how they are turned but no clear diagram of what does what. Eventually you’ll figure it out.... The most disappointing thing is that the oven is not easy to use. The upper oven does not get up to temperature until long after the beep (you can check it with a thermometer), and the pizza setting on P3 leaves a soggy bottom crust. Frustrating for an expensive oven! On the plus side, it looks nice and is easy to clean except for the stainless steel front.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Finish peeled off We bought a suite of LG appliances through Costco in April, just over 6 months ago. I have been happy with the function of this oven & up until today, I thought it was a very attractive appliance. This morning, I notices a dime sized area on the front of the control panel where the finish has worn off. This has left a very noticeable blemish. These appliances were expensive & I did not expect to have it looking like this when it is practically brand new. I can assure you that I do not clean aggressively. We also have had problems with the dishwasher which was part of this suite. Part of the reason we chose LG was its reputation. Our experience has not been good & we will not purchase LG appliances in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s ok.... I bought this oven while doing a kitchen makeover. I had dreamed of a double oven for a while and was willing to spend the extra to get one. The reviews for them were all over the board, leaving me feeling conflicted. I basically picked the one I thought looked the “prettiest”....I know, like routing for the team with the best uniforms. The ovens seem to both need to be put on at least 25 degrees higher than the recipe would call for. The lower over doesn’t seem to hold a steady temp. The burners are ok, but the back ones seem to be a bit close to the the back of the oven not leaving room for anything but a small pan. And the 5th burned is just for warming.... Overall, just ok....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Baking I have had my LDE4415ST for a month now, I like that the ovens preheat fast. I am still having trouble with the bake cycle on the bottom oven. I use the lowest bake time on my recipes, thing I bake almost burn. I don't know if I need to lower my heat or reduce time bake. I will try both. I do a lot of baking, just finished a bake sale, so will review next month again. I do love the easy clean up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best refrigerator I’ve ever had! I purchased this refrigerator in July of this year, and love it! Everything works great, from the water and ice dispenser in the door, to the two freezer drawers and the refrigerator section. I can fit everything I need on the shelf or door space, except wine bottles are too tall. We had some leaking underneath but it may be due to humidity as we live in Florida; we had the service man out to check it but it is random and he couldn’t find anything wrong. Covered under the manufacturers warranty. love this appliance, and I bought all new LG appliances for my kitchen remodel and upgrade. It looks modern and stylish, love the black stainless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Range! We are delighted with our new range. It is very efficient and does not emit lots of heat, which is a nice feature especially on hot days. So far, we have only used the top oven, but look forward to being able to use both the top and bottom ovens for large meals!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! We bought this a month ago and are very happy we did. We love the heating elements layout – focusing on maximum utility for the two front ones. We seldom use the small back ones. Cleaning is easy. We had a big party and the two right sized ovens came in handy. We like the minimalist and large robust front controls, leaving the more delicate digital controls in the back panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is great! I like that the burner surface is very easy to keep clean. I also like the two ovens with the larger one having the option to be a convection as well as a conventional oven. The insides of both ovens are enamel and can be cleaned with just a swipe of a damp cloth. It cooks evenly and adeptly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new range I just bought this a few weeks ago and I am really enjoying it. I’ve used the pizza button and it worked great. The oven heats up quickly which I like. I’ve used both ovens. The only thing I should have thought about is the bottom oven being so close to the floor. Stand on my head. Still like it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A couple issues Purchased the 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Double Oven Range with ProBake Convection, EasyClean and Infrared Heating System on on 9/17/2016. I love the double oven. I have not noticed any issues with the actual oven. I notice the knobs do turn on the burner very easily. My biggest issue is the printed numbers on the knobs have worn off 3 times so far. I have only used the Weiman stove top cleaner and sometimes windex to clean the top. I have replaced the knobs 3 times because I can no longer see the numbers. My current set is starting to go, not sure what if anything can be done, getting tired of replacing knobs! There is also a white residue on the burner, seems like its inside the glass though. I would not purchase this stove again due to these issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the ease of use, range top to the ovens Love the uniform baking, the upper oven is ideal for us. We are retirees, the smaller oven is all we need the majority of the time. Having both ovens will be excellent for the times we host family and friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 3rd LG double oven This is my 3rd LG double oven. Overall, I give it 4 stars. It has great versatility with all of the setting choices. The top oven is slightly not tall enough. The top rack position has a problem not allowing a rack to go all the way in without scratching the sides and it is slightly narrowed toward the back. The lower oven is great. LG is the only oven with a proofing setting for making bread rise, in this price range. The cooktop has multiple size heating elements for pots and frying pans. The stainless steel fronts are not stainless steel, they are a plastic and so are the knobs, somewhat difficult to keep clean, but the knobs slide off to clean. The cook top also needs frequent use of a cooktop cleaner. The inside of the ovens are a very shiny blue and easy to clean. I have had this oven for almost a month and I love the sounds it makes when reaching temperature and when the timer goes off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this range!! I purchased 5 LG appliances for a new house build. I purchased this range, which was a newer model to the exact same one I bought 3 years ago for a remodel. My daughter has the exact range with gas and loves it, too. We don’t have natural gas in our area so I decided to stick with the electric . I love the fact that it heats up so quickly, and the smooth top is easy to keep clean if you wipe it after every use. We cook a lot and I really like having the double oven. It bakes evenly and I like the option of two ovens and two cooking temps simultaneously.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality control and loud relays We were looking to upgrade our old oven for one with convection but one with true convection. Thie LG won out because of having the entire heating element behind the fan. Of course though the downside is only the bottom oven has it. That so far works well. Sadly though, for better temp control, it kicks and and off much more frequently over the old oven and on top of that, the relay clicks are much louder then the old oven as well. Solid state relay would surely be best but I am sure the extra cost is to much for LG to consider over a quite stove. Also issue we had was with the finish. The black stainless on the back wall below the controls was chipped in several spots. The dealer did not catch it nor did my wife at install, so at that the dealer said not their issue. After convincing LG it came that way and should be covered, they sent a replacement one (which in this case it's all one piece with the glass top). When they came to install it, and took it out of the box, we found that one had similar marks on it in the same area just on the left side instead of the right side. They then had to order a new one yet again. The second one came and has a slight defect on the right side, however at this point we figured we will just live with it. In the end, for the price paid, I do not believe I would recommend this to anyone. For what this model charges, we could have gotten something else with better smartphone features, etc. but opted this one for the double door design and looks, but regret that now.

We purchased this oven a 2.5 years ago. I would say about 8 months into ownership, while cleaning the decals/lettering on the oven and burner knobs has been removed. Do you have replacement decals/lettering. It's very frustrating that these would wear

How long does it take the convection oven bake to heat to the desired temperature

Asked by: michelec
How long it will take for the Convection Bake mode to reach the desired temperature in the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Double Oven Range with ProBake Convection®, EasyClean® and Infrared Heating™, Model # LDE4415ST will depend on external temperatures and the desired temperature. It will take longer to reach a higher temperature and longer to reach that desired temperature in a cooler climate but should be within 10 to 15 minutes. As the oven preheats, the display shows increasing temperatures in 5-degree increments. Once the oven reaches the set adjusted temperature, a tone sounds and the oven light flashes on and off. I recently purchased this oven. The specs say it only requires a 40 amp feed. Is this correct because usually it's 50 or 60 for electric range. But because it's new and energy afficant was wondering before I run Nee feed in new house?

Does LG recommend any types or brands of pots and pans for the glass cook top ?

Asked by: Teribob
LG does not recommend any brands of cookware to use on the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Double Oven Range with ProBake Convection®, EasyClean® and Infrared Heating™ System, Model # LDE4415ST. We do caution that only certain types of glass, glass-ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed cookware are suitable for range-top service without breaking due to the sudden change in temperature. We also caution that you should only use cookware and dishes that are safe for oven and cooktop use. You would need to refer to the manufacturer's instructions for that type of cookware. There is a section in the owner's manual that explains the benefits of certain types of cookware and lists which types are popular: •• Aluminum - Excellent heat conductor. Some types of food will cause it to darken (anodized aluminum cookware resists staining and pitting). If aluminum pans slide across the ceramic cooktop, they may leave metal marks which will resemble scratches. Remove these marks immediately. •• Copper - Excellent heat conductor but discolors easily. May leave metal marks on glass-ceramic (see Aluminum above). •• Stainless steel - Slow heat conductor with uneven cooking results. Is durable, easy to clean and resists staining. •• Cast iron - A poor heat conductor but retains heat very well. Cooks evenly once cooking temperature is reached. Not recommended for use on ceramic cooktops. •• Porcelain-enamel on metal - Heating characteristics will vary depending on base material. Porcelain-enamel coating must be smooth to avoid scratching ceramic cooktops. •• Glass - Slow heat conductor. Not recommended for ceramic cooktop surfaces because it may scratch the glass...^IFV

Can use a pressure cooker or a camber

Asked by: Kim H
The cooking areas on the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Double Oven Range with ProBake Convection®, EasyClean® and Infrared Heating™ System, Model # LDE4415BD are identified by permanent circles on the glass cooktop surface. Pans should not extend more than 1/2" to 1" beyond the cooking area. Canners can be used as long as their bases are not more than one inch larger than the element. Use of water bath canners with rippled bottoms may extend the time required to bring the water to a boil and may damage the cooktop. You would need to use the high heat setting only until the water comes to a boil or pressure is reached in the canner, then reduce to the lowest heat setting that maintains the boil or pressure.
