What people are saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional We’ve been using this microwave since fall ‘20. It is very nice looking but finger prints do show. We didn’t care for the sound when entering cooking time, etc so we turned the sound off. That however means that the timer can’t be used. The directions for preheating the convection oven and setting the cooking time we’re not correct in the owner’s manual. We had to figure it out ourselves. It also has a lower power than our last microwave, manufactured before 2011. There are also no guidelines provided for cooking times when using the combination convection/microwave. These things are significant to us and why it lost two stars. We bought this particular microwave because it was hard to fine a complete set of kitchen appliances that were stainless and we wanted the convection option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Convection Oven, Worth the Cost I received this convection microwave oven on December 26. It works great and has a abundance on features. You don't have to used your oven, this Convection oven done everything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent value for the price We've been using the product for a couple of months now. Generally we are happy with the product for the price paid. A couple of features would be nice to have or could be better. Wish there was a way to mute the tone that plays at the end of a cycle. Also, the reheat presets are not very useful. They typically seem to over reheat food if you let them go to the end. We've had better luck setting a specific time and then adjusting the power level. The layout of the panel can be confusing - make sure you refer to the manual at first because it's not intuitive for some functions. We like that the fan has 5 levels, but like most under cabinet microwaves it's not powerful enough for all the cooking we do. Again, you get what you pay for. So far no problems with the unit and if it lasts 5 years I'll consider it a good value.

Does the microwave have a 30 sec or 1 min button?

Asked by: Anonymous
The LG 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Convection Microwave Oven, Model # LMVH1711ST does not have a 30 sec or a 1 min button. It has an 'EZ-ON' button that lets you quickly set and start microwave cooking at 100% power without the need to touch START/ENTER. Can this be installed in an RV?

Asked by: Hogit
The LG 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Convection Microwave Oven, Model # LMVH1711ST is designed to be installed between upper kitchen cabinets (or wall cabinets) that have a minimum opening width of 30" between them and a minimum of 30" above a range oven from the bottom of the upper cabinets to the cooktop surface before installing the microwave under your upper kitchen cabinet. The upper cabinet and rear wall structures must be able to support 150 lbs., plus the weight of anyitems you place inside the oven or upper cabinet. I live in a hi-rise condominium. No way to vent out. I own a LG electric range. Steam vents from a stainless steel bar across the back of the electric range. Please recommend an over the range stainless steel Convection Microwave Oven with exhaust/vent

Asked by: Charlie Chan
Hi Charlie. Regrettably, without any information about your kitchen and the upper cabinets, we cannot recommend a specific model. However, to determine which over-the range microwave would best suite your needs, we can give you some information that will help you in selecting one. The LG 1.7 cu. ft. Over the Range Convection Microwave Oven, Model # LMVH1711ST, like most of the LG Over-the-Range Microwave Ovens can all be vented in one of three ways. They can be Roof-vented, Wall-vented or Room-vented. The ovens are shipped with the blower assembled for room venting so if you do not need roof venting or wall venting then all you need to make sure is that the over-the-range microwave oven is installed accordingly. The upper cabinet that you are installing the over-the-range microwave under must have a minimum clearance height of 30" from the bottom of the cabinet to the cooktop or countertop surface before installation of the microwave. The cabinet opening width must also have a minimum of 30" and the grounded outlet must be located inside the upper cabinet above the microwave oven. The LG Over-the-range microwave ovens come with installation manuals and templates for ease of installation. They also come with varying capacities and with different features...^IFV
