Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good and very into the future was installed 2 weeks ago and the top left corner facing the cook top was bent up about 1/8th inch . Sealed corner with silicone and put weighted pieces on corner until silicone set up. Can still see it's not flush with new granite counter top.. Do like the touch controls and overall looks of the appliance ..

Can a downdraft exhaust be used with this?

Asked by: sadie
We appreciate your interest in this cooktop. As long as your countertop can accommodate both products, and the manufacturer’s instructions are followed, there is no known reason why one could not use these items together.

Can this cooktop be installed above an in-wall oven that is standard cabinet heigth?

Asked by: BJTX
As it turns out, it is not recommended to install cook tops directly over wall ovens due to the heat. There needs to be a considerable buffer space in between. Please feel free to contact LG Customer Service at (800) 243-0000 or visit the support section of our website at for assistance.

what is the price? where is it availible?

Asked by: jhgfds
As much as I am glad to help, there is some information I should let you know so you could understand a bit more how LG products are sold. Since we do not sell the products directly, I do not have information to fully help out locate products I am afraid. LG only manufactures the units and offers support for the products. Our products and accessories for the products are only sold through certified dealers such as Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sears, Home Depot, Sixth Avenue, etc... I would also like to let you know that LG Electronics does not actually sell directly to any of these retailers. Retailers purchase our products from various distributors; LG has no control over retailer’s inventory. If the dealer does not have the unit available for shipping at this time, I unfortunately do not have a way of finding out when it may be delivered since the dealers order their units through their regional sales representatives which would be a contact of their own, not from LG unfortunately. You can use our "Where To Buy" button on the product's webpage to find our retail partners; the sales price will be available to you on the retailers' websites. Thank you for your question!

Should my new LG electric cooktop have speckles?

My new LG electric stove was delivered today. There are "speckles" throughout the surface of the cooktop. I assumed it would be a glossy black surface. Are the speckles normal and, if so, why are they there????
Asked by: Vickie
It is possible to have a glossy finish with speckles. As such, it is difficult to determine to what type of “speckles” you are referring. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for assistance in this matter.

What is radiant heat, or burner.

Asked by: john
In electric ranges, high voltage electricity runs through a coil. The coil is a resistor, a material designed to resist the flow of electric current. The electricity is turned into heat, which flows out of the coil onto the pot being heated in coil ranges. Radiant heat ranges have a coil, but it's located under a sheet of ceramic glass. The glass insulates the coil, preventing heat from flowing out of it. As a result, the coil gets much hotter than traditional coils.
