What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet! This is the easiest dishwasher to level of any I have installed. It runs extremely quiet and gets the dishes spotlessly clean. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Quiet! I love this dishwasher! It cleans really well, with lots of washing features, it’s super quiet and lets you know the time remaining until done. I’ve had it for a month and couldn’t be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the dual sprayers. I have been very happy with it. Though I've only used it 3 times and am still learning the settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent features! Just purchased the fridge. However, I can’t get the wifi connected even if it’s in front of it. May need a firmware upgrade stuff? Overall, it’s a great model/product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't ignore reviews. I have always had dishwashers but never one this bad. I have tried eveything. Using the other settings etc. This is the worst. My dishes were not clean even after i wash them off first. But the biggest issue is after cycle ends, the dishes are still wet AND WATER SITTING IN BOTTOM OF WASHER. I feel stupid because I read a review complaining about this same thing and I bought anyway!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stainless Steel door rusts after 3 months Had the dishwasher for only 3 months and after cleaning noticed the entire door pitted with rust spots. Obviously a defect in manufacture. Applied to LG for a replacement door skin under warranty which was denied because they said it was cosmetic. The door should not rust after 3 months. Never aagain will I buy LG products since most of mine have broken within or after the warranty period including a microhood, DVD player, and washer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from maintenance Had chance to use before the review. The only problem was that you could not hear it run for the first 6 days but then after that you could. Its still not that loud but that bothers me . Dose a good job cleaning can't complain about that and ease of use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It washes dishes. I am mostly disappointed with my dishwasher. I'd prefer to say something nice, but we got it in 11/2017 and I started having problems in about May. That's only 6 months. I finally called LG customer service & I regret that. I don't understand people with thick (Indian) accents on the phone. They call me "Holey" and it's a waste of an attempt at communication. I had to put my "husband on" because I wasn't able to explain technical & unfamiliar dishwasher specific things to HIS liking. I specifically told him: I don't want to troubleshoot this on the phone. I just want to schedule service. He proceeded to then ignore my clear statement, and continuously insult me. He got frustrated with me, he got me so upset I was shaking & my husband got stuck troubleshooting with this guy, HE can barely understand! *Conclusion: "we think we got it fixed" *Reality: °burning electrical smell continues °beeping continues °nothing was solved, helped or even scheduled!! °I'm still under warranty but I've hired a trustworthy, knowledgeable & English speaking appliance company & I may submit that to LG. They are terrible & I challenge LG to make this right! You earn any review I leave. I always: ✔tell the truth (no exaggeration) ✔wait a few days (calm down) ✔ Ask others what they expect from that type business ✔Last but not least, a chance to "make it right". I'm more than happy to edit THIS review to a 5-star one, if it's fair. I've got LG phones, and now a dishwasher! If it hadn't been so confusing, maybe it would have had an extra star.

What is wrong or what type of a suggested fix is needed when in the middle of the cycle the machine flashes all lights on the control panel, no codes, stops working, and beeps? It even did this at the end of the cycle.

Had this dishwasher for a couple of months. In the past 2 weeks, it has intermittently stopped running. It starts making chime sounds randomly, and shuts off. Is this a known issue? It almost seems like buttons are being pressed, but they aren't. Help!

Ours just started having the same issue! How can we get support if we don't do twitter?

is this a plug in

Asked by: rontko
Operate this appliance with the correct voltage as shown in this manual and on the rating plate. Connect it to a dedicated, properly grounded branch circuit which is protected by a time delay fuse. Connect the appliance using 3-wires, including a ground wire. ^CP

Where is the heating element on a LG LDS5540st dishwasher.   Marilyn

Asked by: MCRackley
Hi Marilyn. The LG Front Control Dishwasher with QuadWash™ and EasyRack™ Plus, Model # LDF5545ST does not rely on a heating element for the drying process; instead, it uses a Hybrid Drying System which relies on the heat that is retained by the dishes and the tub during the wash and rinse cycles to turn the moisture in the tub into humidity. Warm, moist air in the dishwasher is then pulled into a condensing duct in the door by a fan. The air then cools, which causes the humidity to condense. Room temperature air is also drawn into the duct to help the air cool down faster. When this moisture condenses into a liquid, it is drained out...^IFV

Purchased this dishwasher less than a month ago. We have tried all recommended settings but cannot get the dishes to dry even the slightest bit. Any suggestions on what we might be doing wrong ?

Asked by: Brandyaxid
Hi Brandyaxid. The drying performance of your LG Front Control Dishwasher with QuadWash™ and EasyRack™ Plus, Model # LDF5545BB works properly. It should be connected to a hot water supply with a temperature range between 120°F (49°C) and 149°F (65°C). This temperature range provides the best washing results and shortest cycle time. To prevent damage to dishes, the temperature should not exceed 149°F (65°C). s directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish. Using the High Temp setting also aids in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. LG dishwashers are designed to be used in conjunction with a rinse aid. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used. 3 is the default setting, but if necessary set the level to 4 so more rinse aid is used. Water tends to bead rather than sheet off the plastic and nonstick surfaces, making them more difficult to dry. If washing plastic items in a Normal cycle, select the Extra Dry or Night Dry option or both for better drying results. When the rinse aid is empty, the Extra Dry or Night Dry options are selected automatically. Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes...^IFV
