What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet dishwasher This dishwasher is very very quiet. It does have a really long cycle and sometimes everything doesn't get clean. But, overall a great choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looks, save water and electricity We haven't been completely happy with a dishwasher until we bought this LG Studio. It takes a lot of dishes, pots and pans and silverware. We love the EXTRA DRY and HALF LOAD features. Regardless the setting we use, everything comes out clean and

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good looking, quiet, but doesn't dry well The dishwasher is good looking in stainless steel. It is quiet enough that it doesn't interfere with watching TV in the next room, even with the door open between the rooms. It does not dry well, even with the extra dry cycle selected. It leaves a few more spots on glassware than my previous dishwasher (regardless of the amount of dishwashing detergent and rinse agent). These are where the glass touches the machine, and I think it is due to the poor drying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So quiet! I have had this product for one year and love the way it cleans and the fact that you can't even hear it when it is running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We have had this dishwasher for less than 10 days. So quiet, my wife put her ear against the door to make sure it was running. Dishes were completely dry when finished!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style and function! The LG studio line is fantastic for its looks and performance. The hidden controls are easy to navigate and the dishes have never been so clean. To top the dishwasher is exceptionally quiet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a Great Washer I like the way it washes, the racks is one thing I like the most. However, when it is the wash cycle it not as quit as I would like it. You can hear the water beating against the door, but it is not a deal breaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from clean & quite Here's what I love most about this dishwasher, everything fits in. Bowls and large items, are not a problem. It's very quite and even the pots & pans come clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best We bought this model (Studio) about a year ago, also the Fancy Ref. With two ice makers and the stove. We were so satisfied with all of them that we gave our granddaughter and husband the same appliances. The stove was a little different, but almost identical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend This LG Dishwasher My previous condo I had replaced the builders grade dishwasher with a similar LG model dishwasher to this one. It was perfect since that condo had an open floor plan with kitchen and living room in one area. I had a new condo built in 2015 and there was no doubt that instead of the builders grade appliances being installed, I had LG brand appliances installed. I highly recommend this LG dishwasher. It is ULTRA quiet, which is perfect for open floor plans with kitchen and living room. It cleans the dishes on 1st wash. You cannot go wrong with this dishwasher.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from problems I bought in 2014 because I liked LG, since receiving the products, I am very disappointed. My refrigerator went out and the warranty was not honored

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet Great machine with great features. Best of all you can't even hear it running. Very quiet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely quiet I just did an entire kitchen renovation and this was one of the appliance I got. When I say it's quiet I mean you don't know it's even running it's so quiet. I love how the buttons are ontop. I have a two year old who just loves buttons and would constantly turn on off the old dishwasher. This one he can no longer do it. I love the look and everything about it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cleans well, quietly but racks are worthless This is a nice-looking stainless steel DW and it is so quiet you can hardly hear it. Unfortunately, the LG designers probably didn't test the racks with dishes because they left too much space between the tynes on the lower rack and they don't line up evenly. The dishes nest and fall on top of each other. They go in crooked so you cannot load as many as they say you can. It is such a rediculous design that I couldn't keep the unit. I didn't want my dishes to break due to falling over onto each other. I called LG to see if they had a different rack, but they didn't so I made them take back the DW.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dishwasher w/tons of features The dishwasher performs beautifully and the dishes always come out clean and spot free after every wash. Love all the wash options and the flexibility available for loading the dishes with the adjustable tines in the racks! Lots of room in this dishwasher. 3rd rack is a lifesaver at times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO QUIET!!! Have had this a few weeks and I am in love. Cleans like a dream, many configurations to load ans it's really really quiet which was my number 1 goal. Mission accomplished!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A decent clean We've had the dishwasher for a few months. Cleans most food scraps ok except for peanut butter and some others. Not so good at drying the plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this dishwasher. I have had this dish washer for several months. The only con is the bottom rack sometimes tries to go in crooked and has to be coaxed into place. Love the quiet! Dishes are clean and I am used to rinsing dried stains. Like the versatility in choice of cycles. Rack prongs can be placed down to allow larger one piece items to fit well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful and quiet but with some design flaws. This dishwasher is part of LG's Studio series. Essentially the depth is less, lining up better with counter tops. It looks great, clean and snazzy. The first thing I noticed is how quiet it was compared to my previous dishwasher. Complaints? A couple. First, there is no full clean setting without heat. There is a shortened version for light loads but no full clean. There are a bunch of other settings, none of which I've ever used. There is supposed to be a warning light to tell you when the wet jet type additive is getting low. If it has one it has never come on, even though the reservoir is empty. As far as cleaning, it does what it is supposed to do, but so does every other dishwasher I've ever used. Effective but overpriced.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awkward loading It is difficult to load. The dividers or what make the dishes stand up are flimsy. I am constantly putting dishes back upright. Clean very well. Looks very nice Just wish the attention to detail on loading would have been better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Washes well but Silverware trays are too small We bought the dishwasher about a month ago. The wash cycles work very well at cleaning. The one issue we have is that our Silverware does not fit in the top tray, our dinner knives are too long to go in sideways and when placed front to back they slide out when the rack is opened and closed. The rack slides could also be a bit more robust for a high end washer such as this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Quiet! This dishwasher is so quiet that if it didn't have lights in the front you would not know it's on. At first I just loaded the dishes dirty and then tried various settings. But I found that things like fried eggs and baked bean residue didn't really come off very well, even on the Steam Power setting. So now I just always rinse everything completely first and always use the Steam Power setting. Everything comes out just great now! The only feature that I really, really find lacking is a light or some sort of indicator that the dishes inside are clean. Sometimes family members will open the dishwasher after it has been run and add items not realizing that the dishes are clean. That's annoying. But after all is said and done, it's the best dishwasher I've ever owned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This dishwasher sucks. Terrible dishwasher. Rack system is a joke. Would never recommend this dishwasher. The controls you can see because all of them don't light up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife is ecstatic I purchased it yesterday, it is running tonight. Installation was easy, running is real quiet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrating Loading Dishes I've had this dishwasher a little over a year. Multiple prongs in the bottom rack allow for many different ways to place dishes. However, the prongs constantly collapse, causing the dishes to slide around. I would not buy this dishwasher again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A bust! My husband bought me a new dishwasher and it works worse than my old dishwasher.
Date published: 2017-04-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Real quiet Bought it about a year ago to replace another dishwasher. Since we are on a well with hard water it took a while to finally figure out the best settings to get a really clean wash. it turns out that using the steam setting with extra rinse works best for us.

LSDF9962ST I keep seeing  keep the filter clean to avoid problems. Does that mean that I have to clean the filter on a regular basis.

Asked by: Delane
What will determine how frequently you need to clean the filter will depend on a few factors such as how frequently you use the LG Studio - Fully Integrated Dishwasher with TrueSteam™ Technology and Flexible EasyRack™ Plus System, Model # LSDF9962ST. It is recommended that for the best wash performance, the filters should be cleaned after each load. If you have hard water, it is recommended to clean this filter at least once a month to prevent poor wash performance. Practises such as scraping the food off your plates will also help in reducing the frequency of having to clean the filter. According to the Recommended Filter Cleaning Chart for this unit, if you do 1-3 loads a week and you wash dishes before loading, the filter should be cleaned every 6 months. If you scrape and rinse the dishes before loading, then the filter should be cleaned every year. If you only scrape the dishes before loading, the filter should be cleaned four times a year and if you do not scrape the dishes or rinse them before loading, the filter should be cleaned once a month. The numbers are the same if you do 4-7 loads a week except for if you do not scrape or rinse the dishes before loading them. In that case you would need to clean the filter twice a month (every 1 days). If you do 8-12 loads a week, if you scrape and rinse the dishes before loading, then the filter should be cleaned every 6 months and if you only scrape the dishes before loading, then the filtyer should be cleaned every 1.5 months and if you do not scrape of rinse the dishes before loading, the filter needs to be cleaned every week. If you do 13 -14 loads a week, the need for cleaning the filter is the same as for when you do 8-12 loads a week and only is different for when you do not scrape or rinse the dishes before loading them, It that instance, the filter will need to be cleaned twice a week. Regardless of the number of loads a week that you do, if you wash the dishes before loading them, you will need to clean the filter every 6 months...^IFV

Hard food disposer is missing in LSDF9962ST FULLY INTEGRATED DISHWASHER WITH TRUESTEAM™ TECHNOLOGY

Hard food disposer is missing in the specification of LSDF9962ST FULLY INTEGRATED DISHWASHER WITH TRUESTEAM™ TECHNOLOGY
Asked by: sraj49
It's in there, it just isn't a part of the dishwasher that you can manually check, as it is a part of a huge unit on the underside of the dishwasher (Part of the circulation pump and drain pump too) There are rotor blades, but it isn't mentioned as a 'cleaning part' in the manual. I do agree it's weird it isn't mentioned at all, but it is in there, and a part of the entire motor below.
