What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please take it back! I usually LOVE LG appliances and products. I've had the washer/dryer set for 3 months. The dryer wrinkles my clothes. I have to steam them a few times afterwards. I wish I could exchange these for a better set. I know that I am now stuck with them. Glad they work for most of you. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dryer My wife and I purchased this dryer because it was on sale at Sears. This dryer has exceeded our exceptions by a long shot. We are so happy that we are now able to steam our clothes and that our dryer tells us when it is done drying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, efficient with great options. I am very happy with my LG dryer, love the many options it offers, including the "hamper" style door. The steam setting is wonderful and used quite often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific machine This is an amazing machine. Love all the options for drying small loads or large loads, perm press, blankets... whatever. The drum is huge!!! It holds 3 times what my last dryer held! I can't say enough about this dryer! Works great, energy efficient, and no annoying buzzer when done.... it plays a sweet little melody!!! LOVE!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dryer does it's job well, but controls need work This dryer replaces an 8 year old LG dryer that stopped working. Dryer cycles work better than the previous model and the unit is very quiet. My wife likes the steam cycle as it takes alot of wrinkles out of the clothes and works better than the wrinkle-free cycle. I like the door that covers the lint screen hole when it's removed. Twice a sock or wash cloth went down the duct and got stuck in the fan. Had to take the dryer apart to free the fan. Also like the wifi connection which lets me know when the dryer is done. Should have the option to send a SMS or email notice which most smart phones are setup for. The door design needs some work as it only pulls down 40 degrees. Need it to open a full 90 degrees to be more useful. The control panel needs some design work too. The user should only have to push the cycle they want on the display, not have a dedicated cycle button that has to be pushed multiple times till the cycle they want is highlighted. Also, the double function buttons don't all work the same way which is a little confusing. There's plenty of room to add buttons to eliminate the double functions.

I'm purchasing my product from Sears. They're asking me if I want left, right or bottom venting, and if I want the door to open to the left. I'm confused because I thought the door opens 3 different ways and it has 4-way venting. What's the differences?

Asked by: BBBri
The LG EasyLoad can be tilted open from the top, hamper-style, allowing you to easily load the dryer without items falling on the floor. The door still swings open to provide easy access for unloading or loading of bulkier items. The door hinge can be reversed to adjust to the installation location. The dryer is shipped to vent to the rear. It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side (right-side venting is not available on gas models). ^CP

Asked by: UnhappyPdx
Yes this model is compatible with the sidekick pedestal but will require the pairing kit model TSTK1. ^CP

Where do you find the WiFi password for the dryer

Asked by: Biblejason
Hold the wifi button until the icon flashes. Your dryer will make a temporary WIFI network. When you connect to it, the password is the last four digits of the temporary wifi network name repeated twice to make it eight digits; it's case sensitive.

Is it necessary for the dryer with steam feature to be operated with out hooking up the water line? More specifically if you don't want to use the steam feature.

Asked by: Cat64
You would not be required to use the steam features. We would just recommend not selecting any steam cycles if the machine is not connected to a water supply.

How long is the steam hose? Need to know if need longer one to reach water outlet.

Asked by: Cbw123
The hoses that are supplied with the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Front Control Electric Dryer with EasyLoad™ Door, Model # DLEY1901WE are not for connecting to your water supply. You would need to use your cold water inlet hose for that so you're free to get a hose that is sufficiently long enough to reach your cold water faucet. Supplied with the dryer is a Y connector a two hose, one of which is a bit longer than the other. Your washer's cold water hose connects to the Y connector so you can split the cold water supply into two branches. The shorter hose that is supplied with the dryer connects to one branch of the Y connector at one end and to the cold water inlet valve on your washer at the other end. The longer of the two hoses then connects to other branch of the Y connector at one end and is long enough to reach the water inlet valve at the bottom of the dryer for a cold water supply for the dryer...^IFV
