What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from dryer This is my first dryer that isn't an old school top loader. The settings are a little confusing but I haven't had time to learn about them yet. The lint trap only seems to catch lint in the bottom left corner, not sure if that's normal or not. It dries everything, my down blanket I had to dry again but I think that's to be expected. I stacked the washer and dryer to save floor space and I'm liking that.

What is the max temperature this dryer will reach?

Asked by: Momn
The amount of moisture or dampness in the clothes, the size of the load to be dried and even the steady flow or path of the hot air in the will affect the maximum temperature that the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer w/ NFC Tag On Technology, Model # DLG3181W can reach. The temperature range is about 125˚ to 135˚F across the cycles in this dryer. As a reference, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission states that an adult can suffer third-degree burns after five minutes, if his skin is exposed to hot tap water at 120 F. Obviously, for your safety, we want to make sure that the dryer cannot cause harm as you are interrupting a cycle or unloading clothes after drying is complete...^IFV

Why does this machine require 15 amps? That seems like quite a lot for a gas dryer. The companion washer only requires 10 amps. I'm confused

Asked by: Moltj
We appreciate your interest in this gas dryer. According to our information, the Gas Power Supply requires an absolute minimum of 11.5 Amps, along with a little extra for the gas valve and the lamps and indicator lights. A 15 Amp fuse is the minimum required fuse to be used with this dryer.

What is the hottest temperature the "bulky " setting gets to and for how long does it stay at that temperature? Does it reach 135 degrees?
