What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better I bought this dryer a month ago. Love it! All my sheets in the hall closet smell like the hall closet. I would always release before I put on my bed. This dryer has a steam option and it’s amazing. It doesnt take that long a the sheets don’t smell like the closet! It dries quick. Very easy to use. Also like that the lint collector is right in front. It shows you how long it has to go.

After the clothes are dry is there a wrinkle prevention feature that continues to Tumble the clothes if you're not able to take them out right away?

Asked by: Pms1
Selecting the WRINKLE CARE option will tumble the load periodically for up to 3 hours after the selected cycle or until the door is opened. This is helpful in preventing wrinkles when you are unable to remove items from the dryer immediately.

Will I damage the dryer if I use a gas line rated for 60k-75k btu.

Asked by: Jeff716
We do not have a listing for the BTU rating for a gas line. The unit does require a connection to 3/8" gas pipe, which may require an adapter to a standard 1/8” NPT Pipe Plug. This information can be found on page 22 of your Installation Guide. Most of our dryers run between 20,000 and 22,000 BTUh, depending upon the model, energy rating, etc. The specific rating will be listed on the model/serial number label on the unit itself.

Dryer is leaking water during operation. What could I check?

Asked by: SteveEge
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dryer. From what location does the water appear to be leaking? If it is around the dispenser drawer or the door, then it would be recommended to check the seals for cleanliness, to prevent escape of steam. If the water is on the door, there is also the possibility of condensation when a very hot item comes in contact with cold air around it. If this does not appear to be the situation, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.

Measurement for gas connection

What is the exact measurement for the gas connection for this model? We are adding a line for this and need to know where to bring it through the wall.. Thanks.
Asked by: Rosanne
Your laundry room must have a rigid gas supply line to your dryer. In the US, an individual manual shut-off valve MUST be installed within at least 6 feet of the dryer, in accordance with the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1. A 1/8” NPT pipe plug must be installed. If using a rigid pipe, the rigid pipe should be 1/2" IPS. If acceptable under local codes and ordinances, and when acceptable to your gas supplier, a 3/8” approved tubing may be used where lengths are less than 20 feet. Larger tubing should be used for lengths in excess of 20 feet. Use only a new AGA- or CSA-certified gas supply line with flexible stainless steel connectors. Use a pip-joint compound that is insoluble in Liquified Petroleum (LP) gas on all pipe threads. This information is listed on page 21, for connecting a gas dryer.

does lg dryer dlgx3571v allow for venting on the left side of the dryer? the right side if you are looking at it?

trying to see if this dryer can side vent from the left side of the dryer..ie the right side if you are looking at it.
Asked by: cang
I apologize, but no; none of our GAS DRYERS can vent in that direction. The gas valve and heating jets of our gas dryers are located in such a place as to be in the way of any venting on that side of the dryer. The same is NOT the case on our ELECTRIC dryers.

Is it normal for lint to get trapped between the machine and the rubber seal of the door?

I clean the lint filter in between uses and wipe the seal with a damp cloth as well. The exhaust vent is also clean, but lint keeps getting on the seal of door. I've done everything the manual says to do.
Asked by: Nick713
Always make sure that you clean the lint filter after every cycle. To clean, open the dryer door and pull the lint filter straight up. Roll any lint off the filter with your fingers, vacuum the lint filter and if the lint filter has become very dirty or clogged with fabric softener, wash the lint filter in warm, soapy water and allow to dry thoroughly before reinstalling. If the problem persists, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.
