Hey idk why that “LG” rep that answered this questioned answered in that manner which is COMPLETLY INCORRECT. I apologize for there laziness and lack of product knowladge. To answer your question, it has to do with the TV you’ve purchased you would go into your TV settings into AUDIO. Then proceed to SOUND OUT if the TV has this option you will see SOUND SYNC... BLUETOOTH then proceed to place the sound bar int “ LG TV “ mode.

Using the optical connection, how do you get the tv remote to show the volume bar and mute on tv screen. The s.b. remote works fine, but doesnt show visual sound level on screen.
