Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic lens melts internally Second LG projector that gradually gets darker and darker over time due to cheap plastic concentrator lens. 500 lumens turns in 50 lumens over a couple of years. Buy a good brand with glass lenses.

The lens hood on the LG Portable LED Projector with Built-in Digital TV Tuner, Model # PG65U serves two primary purposes: (1) reducing lens flare, and (2) protecting the lens from damage. The intended purpose of the lens hood is simply to reduce lens flare, but the protection it provides to the glass elements of the lens is a beneficial side-effect...^IFV

How can plug my LG projector into the computer? I lost all the cables and I want to know what's the right one - so I can either buy or know what I'm looking for..

Asked by: Renatamhutog
Regrettably, we cannot determine which type of cable is "the right one" for you to connect the LG Portable LED Projector with Built-in Digital TV Tuner, Model # PG65U to your computer without any knowledge of what ports you have on your computer. This projector supports Plug-N-Play and a computer will automatically recognize the projector and requires no driver to be installed. Depending on what ports you have on your computer, you can connect to your computer's PC output via the RGB IN connection on the with an RGB cable and for the audio signal, connect the PC and the projector with an additional audio cable. RGB In is a 15 pin D-Sub connector. If you connect an HDMI output on your computer, you can using the HDMI ports...^IFV

Will this be available in Full HD soon?

I'm interested in buying a projector from you but I want it to be Full HD. You should consider designing a projector with Full HD, Portability (1lb), Vintage Design, Ceiling Projection, Bluetooth (Audio Out; 5.1). Is a tuner really needed with HDMI as the standard? Also, if a tuner is on the projector, it shouldn't be sticking out. You should really consider it being flush the unit.

Hi DLighting. Thank you for your suggestions and for your interest in buying an LG projector. LG currently has a line up of thirteen Portable Projectors and it appears that the Portable LED Projector with Built-in Digital TV Tuner, Model # PG65U does not meet your needs. If we may, we would like to recommend you look at the LG Portable LED Projector with Smart TV and Magic Remote, Model # PF100 which a Full HD projector, features Bluetooth sound out for connection to Soundbars even though it has it's own speakers (2 x 3W ). The PF1500 is DLNA Certified®, it supports WIDI and Miracast™ and has a web browser, and comes with pre-installed Apps...^IV

Has anyone gotten Miracast to work with the PG65U?

I am using an LG Optimus G Pro phone and it says it's connecting to the PG65U projector, but never does. The projector even says it's connecting to the phone. Has anyone gotten this to work?

Same situation here. LG PLEASE FIX THIS. I have a Nexus 7, It connects to the projector using wireless display just fine. However, Nexus 5 doesn't work. My Surface Pro also doesn't. I think it's the projector's fault
