What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crisp Display, Minimal Bezel Very small bezels, very clear display. Good price. The only thing it's missing is an adjustable base and built-in speakers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice looking monitor with a few drawbacks The colors appear very accurate and not over saturated with good smooth even brightness for average use indoors. Menu options are very flexible and easy to navigate through using the lower gimble button. The stand that comes with it is has a sturdy metal internal frame with a good amount of weight to it inside the outer slim plastic molding. The stand also attaches quickly using unique folding wire twist fasteners to the monitor base if you don't use the Vesa mount option. Inputs are via either the DVi and 2 HDMI ports. Unfortunately you will not be able to use PbP solely between the 2 HDMI inputs at the same time. It appears the PbP only works between the DVi port and whichever of the other 2 HDMI ports you choose. My current use is solely to the 2 HDMI ports (PC & top box Digital TV Tuner) while I cannot use the PbP options. This is a real bummer after the fact of which is why I purchased this monitor originally! You can still view either input individually by selecting which HDMI port to use through the monitor menu. This monitor does not have internal speakers. You will need to supply your own audio means via the 3.5mm stereo output jack on the rear. I’m certain LG could make an extra effort to build this monitor with descent powered stereo speakers like most other competitors offer in theirs? This is my 1rst LG monitor ever purchased and was a gamble over another major brand I’ve used for decades. No dead pixels out of box thank goodness. It does have a weird quark to it for a split second when initially powered on and off with a swirl like effect slightly right of center on the LCD panel. I hope this isn’t a bad sign? The initial price is still a bit steep for a basic monitor with no frills in my opinion, but time will tell if it actually pays for itself. Overall I’m happy with the picture quality for my very first 4K monitor after 2 weeks of heavy use. I’m hope this monitor lasts several years without any issues, but time will tell…and so will I if it fails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the sharp clarity of this monitor I bought this monitor over a month ago. I am so happy I did it. the picture I put on this monitor is much sharper and clear compare to other LED monitor I have been using. i put them side by side. the different is so obvious. the feature are great too. highly recomended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from what a great monitor great Picture, plenty of inputs. i have windows connected via display port at 4K and a mac mini connected at 1440P via HDMI (Mini display port to HDMI). No dead pixels. I love how the menu is controlled with a joystick under the monitor. This monitor is easy on my 62 year old eyes. you can adjust the screen up and down which was a requirement when i purchased this monitor. plenty of settings to improve picture quality, i did not have to adjust the picture out of the box. PIP included. plenty of screen real estate. All in all this was a great purchase ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Image Quality Several weeks ago I purchased an LG 27UD68-P monitor for a dual boot Linux (KDE Neon) and Windows 10 system. I have tested it with several gaming benchmark programs, yielding satisfactory results when running in 1080p mode. In addition I have run several 4k videos on Youtube and was very pleased with the image quality. This is one of the few monitors I have seen recently that have actual color temperature adjustments, e.g., defaulting to 6500K, which is excellent for photographers. It would be nice if this monitor shipped with an adjustable stand that allowed for height adjustment and swivel 45 degrees for portrait use. In addition, it would be nice if this monitor supported HDR / HDR10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Picture Quality I bought this monitor to go in a 2 monitor gaming setup. It was easy to get set up and it looks amazing! Having it next to my old 1080p monitor make it clear how superior this monitor's picture quality is! Much better contrast and deeper colors that make the picture so much more vibrant. I will probably buy another one once I have enough money again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exceptional Quality, Minus an Annoying Dead Pixel Really impressed with the quality right out of the box, especially with the factory calibrations. However, what also came right out of the box was a dead pixel just a few centimeters to the right of the center of the monitor. I'ts either that or a speck of dust embedded in the panel itself. It's most visible against bright backgrounds. I've used JScreenFix as well as applying physical pressure to the area to see if I could fix it myself, but to no avail. Since receiving it a few weeks ago, the area centered around the speck is noticeably dimmer in comparison to the rest of the monitor's display. This is apparent against dark bacgrounds, and arguably more annoying than the dead pixel itself. Basically, my monitor's pixel issue might be spreading, and the problem can be seen both against light and dark backgrounds If the display quality gets any worse, I'm going to return the monitor for a new one. I know it started off as one dead pixel against a freakin' 4K monitor, but 1) this was apparent upon doing a dead/stuck pixel check RIGHT AFTER initally setting the monitor up, and 2) it's ridiculously close to the center of the monitor as opposed to being near a corner or somewhere less distracting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic 4K Gaming Cons - Lightbleeding (Typical for IPS tho) cancels the chance for deep blacks Pros - Crisp 4K - Bright, Accurate Colors Used for PS4 Pro, supports 4K gaming and Deep Color Output (Non-HDR of course) on PS4 Pro, and 4K streaming with both this system and Xbox One S.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful This has to be one of the nicest displays i have ever seen. the only reason it lost a star is that there is a lot of backlight bleed on black screens. i didnt think it would bother me, but it is very noticable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good TV, great picture. In the store, this looked like the best TV at best buy - great picture, especially from an angle. At home it looks fantastic, but we aren't as impressed as we thought we would be. Most of the content we watch isn't at 4K yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Detailed images, accurate colors, excellent value I bought this 4K monitor to replace a monitor that was a few years old. The quality is stunning. As a photographer, I work a lot in Lightroom and Photoshop and the accurate colors, sharpness and details in the brightest and darkest parts of the image are very impressive. Using my Datacolor Spyder for calibration I get 100% color accuracy in sRGB. The monitor is equally adept at programming and web design tasks. I used the Displayport connector since it allows the faster refresh rate. Kudos for LG to include a DP and HDMI cable. The only negative is the non-height-adjustable cheap plastic stand, but I realize that for this price, concessions must be made. After I installed the monitor and found the height just right for me, this is less of an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid stand, minimum bezel & joystick control I was looking for a 4k 27+ inch monitor with a stand so that I can raise the monitor (not just tilt). This one is really great on build quality and there is no issue connecting this with my macbook pro late 2013 model through a display port to thunderbolt port. I bought a cable that has display port at one end and thunderbolt at the other. I really like the onScreen controls app because I can control the brightness of the monitor with my mouse. The Onscreen app also lets me create virtual separations on my monitor so that I can make this monitor into 2, 3, 4 etc (different configurations). It can adjust brightness etc based on apps also. So if you want photoshop to be at setting one and then when you open finder app, tp reduce the brightness, this can do that (of course to the whole monitor not just the app area) but it works very well and fast. The monitor does not shake or vibrate and sits pretty solid on the table. it is very thin and good looking from the front. I which it had the USB 3 passthrough so that I could connect my usb devices directly behind the monitor. This one and including all others that have a matt finish will not be as crips as the highly reflective glass mackbook pro retina display but you will not notice any haziness etc. I did not choose any color profiles and it is same as my macbook pro one. With other monitors I always have to adjust the colorprofiles which is very annoying. you can purchase the LG color profile corrector also but that is not required for personal use at all. I think this one is a great buy and I recommend this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great image This is definitely an improvement over the 3 monitors I was using to achieve 4K. Things are a bit smaller, but color and image as well as game play is much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Monitor when the price is Right! I bought this a while back and I didn't have a compatible Video card to take advantage of Freeasync. However I do now and it is great! The monitor is good all around, the only complaint would be that the stand is not as sturdy as I would want it to be, so it wobbles a bit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've had this monitor for around six months, and so far have been very satisfied with it. Everything about the picture is quite nice, and it's great to look at! But there are a few quirks I've experienced (maybe they're just on my product, but I'm not sure) - - Freesync is spotty and does not always work. Even when it's "on", some games still present significant v-sync issues. - This monitor has a tendency to fall asleep on the Windows login screen. Maybe this is some setting on my system, but none of my other monitors display this behavior. After windows loads, the monitor will flicker as the display switches to the log in screen, and most of the time the monitor proceeds into sleep mode and requires a power cycle to restart the display. I received mine on sale at a bargain price and would easily recommend it if you can pick one up on sale too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystal Clear Colors and Superb Picture Quality Really awesome picture quality and colours. I love the sleek slim design of the panel. Easy to set up and calliberated out of the box... was a simple plug and play. Scaling was correct and windows 8 looked and performed well. Only thing is.. if you are into real high end gaming... look for different monitor with higher refresh rate.. 60 hz is not enough and will be jittery. For other normal uses.. this is the best at the moment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just buy it! I stare at this monitor between 5 and 6 hours per day. I love watching 4K content, the detail and colors are amazing. The viewing angles are excellent. I immediately replaced the stand with an adjustable arm and you should too. I have an Nvidia card so I've not taken advantage of the freesync technology. I have experienced some screen tearing while playing SWBF at 2K on low settings. I usually get between 50-60 FPS and I've been impressed with it even though it's not a VG monitor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some quirks. Excellent monitor in terms of detail, contrast, vividness, etc. Inputs could be expanded to include mini dp, dvi, etc. So in terms of performance, design and build quality (feels solid) I would recommend. Price is on par as well which drew me to this monitor. My gripe is the poor picture in picture and side by side setup. The software is very difficult to use in my eyes, awkward and is certainly not user friendy. Should be able to change this setting quick and easy .

No issues at all it just keeps on kicking out awesome FPS and glorious colors. Actually have a second one in my shopping bag on newegg for dual screen. Great pricing and nice features for a 4k display.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost the Best Monitor Great monitor. I'm very happy with the purchase. The picture quality is amazing. It works great as long as you have the right GPU in your computer. The only monitor better than this is one with 120hz instead of the 60hz. The only real difference you'll noticing is when scrolling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color is great! Bought this several months ago while it was deeply discounted. I am so glad I did because you can't find it for the price I bought it at anymore--not even close. This monitor is great. I believe some complain about the stand being too wobbly, I don't know because I had it VESA mounted. The user interface is easy to operate. I love the joystick instead of the usual buttons most monitors use. My only complaint is the joystick will constantly blink a bright blue when your computer is off. It doesn't stop blinking unless you turn off the monitor. I wrote to LG and it looks like they took my advice (and probably the advice of others who complained) because I see a newer monitor they came out with no longer has a blue blinking joystick. It's just a solid black now, which is great change. My solution to the blinking joystick was to cover it up with electrical tape. Unfortunately, this means I'll have a tough time adjusting the monitor settings because then I have to take off the tape and then re-apply it once I'm done. Fortunately, adjusting monitor settings is typically a one-time deal.
