What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I did my research This monitor boasts features found only in those in the >$1500 range. The three brands starting with 'A' had most of the features offered in the 32GK850G-B, but were either too small (27") or curved 34" displays costing upwards of $1700. While value is important in a monitor, image quality is paramount. The VA display here has impressive mega contrast and color gamut. Blacks are solid and dense, allowing whites to really pop. This is my first G-Sync display and no, I didn't really know what I was missing. This screen is so smooth, you get the feeling of being in a movie rather than playing a video game. 32 inches of real estate seems to swallow you up and completely immerse you in the game world. This is due to the amazing 165 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time. To say that you'll see your games in a whole new light really is an understatement. If I need to play a game using HDR or 4K I'll use my 55" LG OLED display for that. You can certainly pay more for a display, but this monitor brings an impressive array of features and specifications not found in more expensive, but less impressive monitors. If you want HDR and 4K you'll definitely need to pay a lot more. LG's OLED televisions can do 4K gaming at 60 Hz over HDMI, so if I need HDR gaming I have it. I'll eventually move to an even larger, HDR monitor, but this one had so much going for it that no HDR was not a deal-breaker in any way. This display will keep me immersed for years to come. Another LG triumph.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is the best for the price I got it at 90% of what I wanted is here: 144hz, 1440p, GSYNC, matte panel, tilt, swivel, etc. The only thing that I would love to have in it is IPS display but this VA panel is good enough. At least its not a TN eh. The only thing I have to criticize is that the bottom bezel gets pretty hot.

Hi.  Very impressed with the spec of this monitor . I’m looking for a gaming monitor with g-sync that offers picture by side capability so it can be used for work as well. Does this monitor offer it or is there another with similar spec that does ?

Asked by: BashBell
Hi BashBell. PBP (Picture by Picture) is not a listed32GK850G feature for this LG 32” Class QHD Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC™ (31.5” Diagonal), Model # 32GK850G. The only other monitor that we currently have in our lineup that features G-SYNC™ is the LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide® Full HD IPS Curved LED Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC™ (34" Diagonal), Model # 34UC89G-B which does not have PBP either, but you can download software to enable OnScreen Control so you can use the 4 screen split feature...^IFV

I just received the monitor today after pre-ordering it. The monitor is stuck at 60hz and none of the drivers I find in this site are working. The CD that came with the monitor itself doesn't autorun and open an installer either. How do I get 144hz ?

Asked by: Shane P
For you to get up to 144Hz refresh rate, you need to use DisplayPort cable. If you will use HDMI cable, you can only get up to 60Hz only. ^AC

My preorders from Newegg have been delayed twice now by a total of a month. (now they say 12/18/17). Newegg support will not tell me why there is a delay or when it will be released yet. Can LG give an estimate as to when these will be available?

Asked by: Blue77
Thank you for the response Joel, however newegg said they have no information and to contact LG about it.. could this mean newegg is just waiting for more inventory to ship out? or has the monitor not been released yet? Also why are all the questions in all caps? Seems a bit unfair to you guys if you read everything as if we are shouting it.

What is the static contrast ratio? I will never see a dynamic contrast playing games, the backlight will always be on. The contrast on a VA panel is always better than an IPS, so why not post it.  Thanks...

Asked by: Veebs
The 32GK850G-B has a static contrast ratio of 3000:1 ^CP
