Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected I bought this for work in my home office instead of a dual screen set up. I’m so glad I did. It’s easy to navigate, great resolution, and can go from multiple screen to a single large screen in a click. So much better than having 2 monitors. And my kids love watching movies on it! Excellent decision, a lot of bang for the buck!

I've noticed at the spec page that it features 1.4 HDMI however in the questions section I have found ver1.2 being mentioned. Which version is it? Also couldn't find what is the refresh rate supported at 21:9 1080p? Does graphics has HDMI version as well?

Asked by: mumel
The LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide® Full HD IPS LED Monitor (34" Diagonal), Model # 34UM58-P has a native resolution of 2560 x 1080 and a native refresh rate of 75 Hz. The HDMI ports on it are version 1.4. The HDMI 1.4 specification added support for 4K × 2K, i.e. 4096×2160 at 24 Hz (which is a resolution used with digital theaters), 3840×2160 (Ultra HD) at 24 Hz/25 Hz/30 Hz, and support for 1080p at 120 Hz. Support for 4K allows the HDMI interface to transmit digital content at the same resolution as the state-of-the-art Digital Cinema systems used in many movie theaters. It succeeded the HDMI 1.3 / 1.3a specification which succeeded the HDMI 1.2 / 1.2a specification...^IFV

How to operate 34UM58-P with Surface in 2560x1080? Connected monitor with a Surface Book via SurfaceDock and Mini-DisplayPort/HDMI-Cable. When choosing 2560x1080 in Windows10 it goes back to 1920x1080. Same problem when using adapter Mini-DisplayP/HDMI.

I have a 34UM58 UltraWide Screen Monitor and when I plug it into my MacBook Pro the screen has a black border around it and it is not full screen. I can't find the settings for over/under scan. Also the screen is not clear. How do I resolve this issue?

Asked by: JonEMc
I do apologize about the issue you are experiencing with the monitor. It is suggested to check if the video card's resolution or frequency on the MacBook is within the range allowed by the monitor, as this can cause poor picture quality. Also ensure the monitor is set to the recommended (optimal) resolution in Control Panel > Display > Settings. If this does not correct the issue, Please contact us at 800-243-0000.

Just bought today. Keeps saying no signal. Entering power saving mode shortly. Changed, ports, chords, turned power off and on. Is this just no good? Do I need to box it up and return it or is there a solution ?

Asked by: Kelvin Kevin
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this monitor. If the external device is active, and switching input ports does not activate the signal, and all cables are connected securely, then there could be a bad component in this monitor. Is there a arm clamp for this monitor. I want to keep it off the desk surface to have more space.

Asked by: Janet R
We appreciate your interest in this monitor. This model is designed to be compatible with a 100mm x 100mm VESA Standard mounting bracket. The owner’s manual makes no specific recommendations for a particular make or model of mounting bracket, so long as M4x10mm machine screws are used.
