Multitaskers can now work in a generous 5:9 area while simultaneously viewing a 16:9 4K video on the same screen. The 5K2K 21:9 display of the 34WK95U offers 5120 x 2160 resolution optimized for video editors, programmers and developers, with convenient single-cable Thunderbolt® 3 connectivity.

VESA DisplayHDR™ 600

Discover a more lifelike picture with high dynamic range, which provides bolder contrast between the brightest and darkest areas of the screen. This HDR 600 monitor has been rated to deliver impressive peak luminance of 600 nits for undeniably spectacular highlights.

Nano IPS Display

Impeccable Color

More accurate color and a broader contrast ratio combine to deliver truly high-end picture quality. High dynamic range (HDR) makes bright and dark portions of the image even more so, while Nano IPS controls color better, covering 98% of the DCI-P3 color space, the digital film industry standard.

Color Range with DCI-P3

Editing on-site footage with full color expression is possible with DCI-P3 Digital Cinema Color Standard. It reproduces digital color content just as you intended with the preview camera on site; allowing for accurate conditions like shadow detail, color, saturation & brightness for precise editing & overall control in post-production.

Delicate Color Expression

Nanometer-sized particles on the screen's LED absorb excess light wavelengths, realizing richer color expression that accurately reproduces all content, from actual images and videos to CG.

Thunderbolt™ 3

Simplify setup with a single cable for video/audio plus data transfer, as well as simultaneous laptop charging. Ideal for demanding professionals, this is the most versatile Thunderbolt yet. The compact port enables 40Gbps data and high-bandwidth video, including a 4K signal to two different screens, or 5K/60fps to a single screen.

Faster Speed

Transferring data at speeds of up to 40Gb/s-two times faster than Thunderbolt™ 2 and eight times faster than USB 3-Thunderbolt™ 3 delivers the fastest connection to any dock, display, or device.

What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor picture quality for text This monitor comes with an anti-glare coating that is stronger than the one on the 5k monitor. If you're in a bright room and you don't mind the fact your text will be blurry, this is a great monitor. The problem is I'm in a bright room and work with code 12-16 hours a day. I took the anti-glare coating off my previous 4k monitor and the clarity on it is outstanding! You'd expect for $1400 MSRP would have a better result. If you just want a pretty picture, this monitor is fine, but overpriced.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You will love it for awhile then hate, hate it When I first received this monitor, it was great. After the updated software was issued that is because it didn't work for the first month. Now that I have had it for about 5 months, it goes black because it loses the connection to my MacBook Pro for no reason while typing or reading a document or the internet browser. I called LG and they determined that the cause may be a faulty cord. However they would not replace the cord even though I was still in warranty and had an additional warranty. All I got was runaround and service reps on the phone who had no knowledge of the product. This computer monitor has caused me so much frustration and wasted time trying to get it to work that I sincerely regret the purchase

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Was great once I got it working... Until it died. Like many people have said, it's been a hassle to get working on a 2018 i9 MacBook Pro. Fortunately, I've had it running rock solid for the past few weeks thanks to the most current MacOS betas. Looks really good, but like others have reported, it has significant image retention that I've never seen on any LCD panel. I ended up having to autohide my dock as it would typically persist for quite a long time and was distracting. Well, fast forward to today. I had to pleasure of turning it on to find a vertical green line from top to bottom and a black line from side to side. I would have thought by this point LG would have LCDs figured out, especially on such a premium display. Clearly I'm mistaken. Fingers crossed that LG will come through and come up with a painless replacement since I emailed them this afternoon.

Why doesn't LG post framerate on this page?

Asked by: Huehuehue
Frame rate is a single still image, which is then combined in a rapid slideshow with other still images, each one slightly different, to achieve the illusion of natural motion. The frame rate is how many of these images are displayed in one second. To produce, or render, a new frame your CPU and GPU work together to determine the actions of the AI, the physics, positions, and textures of the objects in the scene to produce an image. Then your GPU cuts this image into pixels at the resolution you set and sends this information to the display. The more powerful your CPU and GPU, the more frames they are able to generate per second. Refresh Rate is where the LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide® 5K2K Nano IPS LED Monitor with HDR 600 (34" Diagonal), Model # 34WK95U-W or your monitor comes in. Refresh rate which is measured in frequency (Hz) is the number of times per second your monitor can redraw the screen. A refresh rate of 60Hz means that this monitor can redraw the entire screen 60 times in one second. That does not mean that your frame rate is limited by the monitor's refresh rate, they are two separate things.Frames per Second (FPS) is how many frames your gaming computer is producing or drawing, while the refresh rate is how many times the monitor is refreshing the image on the screen. The refresh rate (Hz) of your monitor does not affect the frame rate (FPS) your GPU will be outputting. However, if your FPS is higher than your refresh rate, your display will not be able to display all of the frames your computer is producing, so although the refresh rate doesn’t technically limit the frame rate, it does effectively set a cap...^IFV
