Rated 1 out of 5 by from You have been forewarned Have a LG refrigerator that is 2 1/2 years old. Warranty for parts is ten years. It stopped working 9 days ago. Called LG and they referred me to A&E Factory Service. Called and made an appointment. Looked at Google reviews and 580 reviews and a 1.1 rating. Worst was do not let them in your house. They came out at 5:30 in a 1-5 window. Ordered three parts had to set another 4 hour window appointment. After 5 1/2 hours yesterday, he said it is working and left. Checked this morning and is still warm and now vibrates loudly. So now another five hours stuck at home tomorrow while they attempt to fix it. This company is who LG uses so when not if yours breaks but when this is who you will be dealing with. This will be a total of 15 hours waiting on them and over one hour on the phone with LG. This is an independent repair company who said almost all their calls are on LG refrigerators. LG has been a total waste of time dealing with. They truly could care less about me not having a refrigerator now for two weeks even if it is fixed tomorrow which they is ZERO chance of that happening. Talking to retailers because I am buying another refrigerator and certainly not LG salespeople confirm this is a common situation. Was referred to LG Executive Services who will not call be back. You have been warned. The repair company did state because of their known issues with repairs that I would get a one time free repair meaning would not have to pay for labor. If that is not a red flag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High Pitched Sound from Compressor The inverter compressor in this refrigerator makes a high-pitched tone when it is running that becomes unbearable. The refrigerator is 2 weeks old and my wife is ready to push it down the stairs. Service guy came out today and indicated that LG has told them that this sound is normal, and although it may be unpleasant, there was nothing that could be done from a repair aspect. He indicated that his is a high efficiency compressor and runs at higher rpms, thus the high pitched noise. If this is true, this refrigerator is going back. I would not recommend buying an LG refrigerator with the inverter compressor.

It just kind of stops making ice when it isn't even full. WE never have enough ice, especially if company is over!

You really have to plan what will be accesses from the main door and what will be access from the little door. It catches new people by surprise where the water dispenser is. Most go right to the ice spot and end up splashing water on the floor. I do prefer the way it is set up, but it is not easily seen. the ice dispenser is the perfect size for our water bottles.

Bought the extended warranty and it's been 2 weeks since contacting Home Depot Warranty and still my fridge is not fixed. A warranty is only good if there someone to fix it. If you buy this fridge, make sure there are approved LG technicians in your area or it's worthless.

But it just looks gorgeous! I think it looks more gray than black and its very sleek - no fingerprints! The door-in-door is perfect for when you just want to grab drink. And I love how the ice and water dispenser allow for a tall cup or water bottle. We're in Texas and what they say is true, everything is bigger here. Even our drink-ware!

I had an LG for 6 yrs before this one that was quiet as a mouse. But this one moans, shrieks, hums, squeals, rattles, revs, and constantly makes a lot of LOUD, very irritating noise. I'm getting ready to contact LG, who MUST come out and do something about this family actually asked me to UNPLUG IT during our holiday dinner, that's how annoying it was.

The product looks good, but its high-pitch noise during running is pretty irritated, the up small door needs a push to close it and we have to tell my kid to be careful. In addition, there was a small dent on the front of the small door, not sure if because of poor wrapping or handling during transportation.

Appliance Specialist and the delivery and installation service I can't be any happier. After reading reviews about some having delivery damage and failing of getting the ice to load, running compressor noise and stopped working within a short time, this left me wondering, but, received Feb.15, 2019 now 18 days, didn't change any settings and running very cold, quite, makes ice to the top and yes they all let you know when they drop the ice but not that load. SS Counter Depth looks great, lose cu. ft. It works for me. I really like the third door. Would be nice if it had a small lunch meat draw. I haven't used the wi-fi yet, not sure on set up, may need LG's help. So from day one it has been running with no problems and that's a good start.

Family size items from Sam's can hardly fit in. The protective plastic film was glued on with Crazy glue! Be careful when peeling off the protective plastic film on those drawers... the printing ink of the label will come off with it.

ONE DRAWBACK....the finish comes off easily. It came with a place on the upper right hand door where the finish is scuffed on the very right top door corner. It's not very noticeable, so we are accepting it. It would be nice if LG had a touch-up kit for Black Stainless. Otherwise, we are very pleased with it and, so far, we like everything about it. Makes ice constantly and not loudly. Compressor is very quiet. Have to say it's a very handsome far as fridges go!!! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great refrigerator Bought this about 6 weeks ago after a long drawn out affair (3 months) trying to get a working fridge installed before all the tariff-related price hikes take effect. For about 5 weeks we had an equivalent refrigerator from another manufacturer that just didn't work right (refrigerator temps too warm) but it also allowed us to compare the difference between two fridges on the market today. Big deal to us was that this LG refrigerator dispenses COLD water which we love even in the winter. The other fridge dispensed only warm water (their manual said 50 degrees but failed to mention or warmer!). The LG has more even cooling thru out the fridge including cooling directed right to the door-in-a-door shelves so the door temps are as needed. (even at lowest temps, other fridge door food was warm to the touch). USDA says food should be stored at 40 or below, the LG seems to do it. This is a counter depth refrigerator but the door-in-a-door adds a ton of storage. Because this is my first with the door-in-a-door option, I was not use to storing so much in the door so that was learning experience for me. The one thing missing from this is a meat storage drawer. We use the top shelf in the door-in-a-door for deli meats and cheese and that has been working out great (coolest shelf in the door). I did invest in a storage tray for other meats to keep any leakage contained. Seems that most manufactures no longer include a meat drawer in their side-by-side refrigerators. We specifically wanted a side-by-side and seems these days the pickings are slim with this style. The french doors are taking over. All in all we are very happy with this refrigerator and definitely would buy this one again.

We weren’t in desperate need as we were replacing a working refrigerator due to a kitchen remodel. The delivery men were great and we are enjoying our new refrigerator. It has the door in dooor which I wasn’t crazy about but now find it a nice feature. It has plenty of space for us as we are just a couple. I do miss having a dairy drawer and I don’t love that the fruit and vegetable drawers cannot be opened at the same time but all in all we find it a good buy.

Some technician suggested to turn off the fridge for 24 hours, so icing can go away and turn back on. That did not help. We lost all the food in the fridge and freezer worth hundred of dollars. Do not buy this fridge.

In reality BIGGEST mistake of our lives, not only did Lowe's not help neither did IG. Worst decision ever we have been 4 months without a Refrigerator and a family of 5 this is NOT easy. Worst purchase ever!

Our only issue is that the doors are very uneven. The delivery crew did not do the adjustment that was referenced in the owners’ manual. No adjustment tool was included, as was referenced in the manual.

I really love the door in door feature although it does take a little getting used to it and i still forget and open it the regular way. It is always a challenge to get use to a different set up. It looks great and takes up less room then the one we had. If my opinion changes in the future I will be sure to share it.

In order for the Automatic Ice Maker in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 22 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LSXC22486S to produce ice, the water pressure must be between 40 and 120 psi (276-827 kPa). Pouring water manually into the ice maker will not produce the required water pressure for the ice maker to work...^IFV

Door in door models. How come on the French door model the inside door opening is full length but on the side by side it is half the size?

Hello, part of the convenience of the door in door is being able to have the items that you need the most easily accessible. Having to bend down to grab items from the bottom of the refrigerator would defeat this purpose. Also, opening more of the door would result in more cooling loss and would make the unit less energy efficient. ^AC

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. The air filter of the machine should not make any restrictions to the cooling performance. It is recommended to check around the vents along the walls of the freezer to make sure there is no blockage. Such interference could restrict air flow in the freezer, including the cooling performance, and will affect the air flow in the refrigerator as well. If this does not resolve the matter, then it may require service.
