Adding Apps to Your Smart Blu-ray Player With LG Smart World - Blu-ray

Using Smart World - DAV - App Store

With LG Smart TV, you can do it all; enjoy TV shows, browse the web, and explore diverse Apps!

LG Smart TV presents your various content with a much broader and clearer view. You can now enjoy movies, music, educational resources, games, social media, and various Apps on your LG Smart TV.

Note: Internet connection & some subscriptions required and sold separately. Some content requires an LG Account, visit LG Smart World Account Setup to learn more.

First, open LG Smart World. You can do this using the launcher as shown below.
From the Smart World home screen you can browse for apps or use the Search  feature, found near the top-right.

Note: Using the Search feature will search all content on the Blu-ray Player, perform a web search, and perform a YouTube® search, in addition to the LG Smart World search.

Once you select an app, you'll see the product page. From here you can choose to Install the app, view a Description of the app, check product Reviews, check other Recommended apps, or leave Feedback to Developers.
When you select Install you will be walked through an install wizard.

Note: Many apps will require you to be signed in using an LG Account.

Depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the app, the download time can vary.
Once the installation is complete, you'll have the option to Launch the app or Close the installation window to continue exploring LG Smart World!.

    These errors are generally caused by your Internet connection. This could originate in the modem, router, signal from your provider, or the wireless module in the device. Follow the steps below to narrow down the source:

    • Ensure the wireless router is powered on.
    • Ensure the Blu-ray Player is within range of the wireless router with minimal obstacles between.
      Note: The wireless receiver built in to the Blu-ray Player may not be as strong as other devices.
    • Restart the Blu-ray Player and wireless router (unplug them then plug them back in).
    • Check other devices for Internet access. If none of your devices have Internet access, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
    • For Advanced Users: Check the router's firewall settings.
    • For Advanced Users: Check the static IP settings.
    • If the issue persists, Contact Us.

    • Check the Premium Apps section of your Blu-ray player from the Home screen. Premium apps are not included in Smart World.
    • Make sure the app is available in LG Smart World by visiting
    • If the app is available on, and is not one of the premium apps, it is not compatible with your Blu-ray Player.

    • Restart the Blu-ray Player and wireless router (unplug them then plug them back in).
    • If the issue persists, Contact Us.
