Scratches / Abrasions on Cooktop - Electric Range / Electric Cooktop
Using cookware with rough bottoms can cause scratches to the ceramic glass cooktop. Cookware of any material should not be pushed, pulled, or scraped across the surface of the cooktop.
Use a ceramic glass cleaning creme to clean the glass cooktop.
Shake the product well and apply a few drops to the cooktop.
Then, clean the cooktop using a paper towel or by using a ceramic cooktop cleaning pad.
Be sure that the cooktop surface and cookware are clean before the cooktop is used again.
Follow manufacturer's usage instructions for the particular cleaner brand.
Light scratches do not affect cooking and will become less visible with time.
Course particles such as grains of salt between the cooktop and cookware can cause scratches. It is recommended that the cooktop is cleaned after each use.
DO NOT clean the cooktop with hard materials or cleaning aids such as steel-wool pads, oven cleaner, or aluminum foil.
