LG provides online support for customers through two separate and distinct Account types:
Note: The user accounts for Product Registration/MyLG and LG Smart World are not interchangeable. Each account must be set up separately.
When you are planning to actively cool with your air conditioner, turn the unit on and turn the thermostat knob to a higher number. The higher the setting, the more actively your air conditioner will attempt to cool the room. Adjusting to a lower numbered temperature will still continue the use of the fan, but the compressor will not run as often.
To adjust the room temperature, press the up and down arrow keys to set the unit to the desired temperature. If this is a new installation, you may want to make a gradual adjustment to the setting until the room is stabilized. Once the temperature is under control, a more constant setting can be used.
The thermostat monitors the room temperature to maintain the desired temperature. The thermostat can be set between 60°F – 80°F (16°C – 30°C). The unit takes an average of 30 minutes to adjust the room temperature by 1°F. Not all models will go down to 60°F.
Some models may be able to change the temperature display from F to C, and vice versa. To do so, power the air conditioner off and press and hold the power button for 5 seconds (while the unit is off). When the unit is powered back on, the display format will have changed if this option is available on your model.
