Pre-Installed Applications

Some applications are pre-installed on your device such as Camera, Bluetooth, Email and Music. These apps are needed for basic functions and cannot be deleted. Some pre-installed applications may be disabled to keep from running, but doing so may cause errors and compatibility issues.

1.

From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Application manager  > ALL

2.

Tap the application you would like to disable.

3.

If available, you can tap Disable. This option may be grayed out if the application is needed for your device to run properly. Disabling an application will keep it from running in the background and remove it from the Application screen.

4.

To re-enable an application, tap the disabled application in the apps screen and select Enable.

Download Applications

Downloaded applications, such as music apps, internet browsers and games, add functionality to your device. It is recommended to download your applications from Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can download applications directly to your device in the form of APK (Android Application Package) files, but doing so runs a larger risk of viruses or incompatibility that could cause your device to stop functioning properly.

1.

From the Home screen, tap Apps > Play Store

2.

Find an application you want, and open its details screen.

Note:

In the application's details screen, you can read more about the application, including its cost, overall rating, and comments by users. Scroll down to the Developer Info section to view more applications by this developer, visit the developer's website, or send the developer an email message.

3.

For free apps, tap Install. The screen will then display App permissions. Tap ACCEPT after reading the permissions, and your app will start downloading onto your device.

For paid apps, tap the Price button to buy the app. The screen will then display App permissions. Tap ACCEPT after reading the permissions. It will take you to a screen where you can tap the BUY button to purchase the app. Follow instructions to continue purchasing and downloading the app.

4.

When the application is installed, you can tap the notification to open the application or open it by tapping its icon in the applications screen.
