LG OPTIMUS F3™ LS720 APPLICATION BASICS

Applications(Apps) run on your device to complete specific tasks. To make a phone call on your device you need to open the Phone Application to dial a number or to take a picture open the Camera application.


Some applications are pre-installed on your device such as Phone, Camera, Email, Music are needed for basic functions and cannot be deleted. Some pre-installed applications may be disabled to keep from running but doing so may cause errors and compatibility issues.

  1. From the Home Screen, tap Apps  icon > Settings  icon > Apps  icon align= > swipe left to All.

  2. Tap the application you would like to disable.

  3. If available, you can tap Disable. This option may be grayed out if the application is needed for your device to run properly. Disabling an application will keep in from running in the background and remove it from the Application screen.

  4. To re-enable an application, tap the disabled application in the apps screen and select Enable.

Downloaded applications such as music apps, internet browsers, and games add functionality to your device. It is recommended to download your applications from Google Play. Alternatively you can download applications directly to your device in the form of APK(android application package) files but doing so runs a larger risk of viruses or incompatibility that could cause your device to stop functioning properly.

To install an application from Google Play

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  icon > Play Store  icon

  2. Find an application you want and open its details screen.

Note: In the application's details screen, you can read more about the application, including its cost, overall rating, and comments by users. Scroll down to the Developer Info section to view more applications by this developer, visit the developer's website, or send the developer an email message.

  1. Tap the Download or Install icon (free apps) or the Price icon (paid apps). The screen will display if the application requires access to your data or control of any functions on your phone. The Play Store application tells you what it can access if you continue with the download.

WARNING: Read this screen carefully. Be especially cautious with applications that have access to many functions or to a significant amount of your data. Once you accept on this screen, you are responsible for the results of using this item on your phone.

  1. If you agree to the application's access requirements, tap Accept & download (for free applications) or Accept & buy (for paid applications).



Note: If you selected a paid application, you're redirected to the Google Checkout screen to pay for the application before it's downloaded to your phone.

  1. When the application is installed, you can tap the notification to open the application or open it by tapping its icon in the applications screen.

To delete an application

  1. From the Home Screen, tap Apps  icon > Settings icon >Apps  icon > Downloaded

  2. Tap the application you want to delete.

  3. Tap Uninstall.
