Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV Bought this after reviewing many many on line reviews. I had a Samsung and was reluctant to change brands. Glad I did. Great picture and smart TV applications. However, my TV does not support Google Fiber for set top box which was somewhat of a disappointment. My major complaint is the sound quality or lack of consistency in volume from one channel to another. I literally have to change the volume level 5 or 6 times during a program. Besides the two problems described, the picture and viewing angle are top notch. Well done LG... kind of!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tv Happy we bought this one, we were able to use our original stand, saving the rearranging of the room from buying a larger stand. So many functions it will take a while to get a handle on them. Picture quality is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture, Sound and Features This set replaced our older non-4K TV. We couldn't believe the picture quality. During hookup I found the inputs well marked and the initial power on setup, including connecting to our wireless network, was clear and concise. In use the TV comes on very quickly, and as I said the picture is great, as is the sound quality. I did change the picture mode to the Vivid setting. Am still learning all the Magic Mouse can do, but so far have found it very useful (and fun).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The voice activated remote is exceptional I purchased this set two weeks ago and I waited a week to make sure that I wasn't just enamored with the 55 inch screen since it was replacing a 43 inch set. The Nanocell picuture is fantastic even in a brightly lit room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Gorgeous I recently received my new 49" LG NanoCell TV to replace a different 32" Smart TV I had that was only 2 years old. I needed to replace it because the TV had a mind of it's own and I believe a sinister spirit was living in it causing it to do all kinds of crazy things at any time of the day. I wanted a bigger screen and another smart TV, since apparently I can't do without it now. My kids helped me set it up, the design of the TV is just so thin, beautiful and sleek looking without even turning it on. Then when we go to turn it on it was just so easy to set up. Since we don't use cable or satellite, it let us set our regular channels to Sling that was awesome, so anytime we want to watch what is on TV it goes directly to Sling. We played around with it for a bit and found the Gallery of pictures (which are absolutely beautiful) like having your own framed art if you hang your TV on the wall. The brilliant colors that pop off of the screen are amazing. We couldn't believe how much we have been missing from the older version TV sets. We even watched an older movie and couldn't believe how good an older movie even looked through this TV. I love the fact that it comes with Google Assistant and I can Googlize my whole house now. It is taking me a while to catch on to the whole Google assistant feature but it is fun learning and my kids are teaching me. Plus I can control this TV through my phone as well (excellent feature when you have kids)! LG is right- Life is Good!! Can't wait to get more LG products to make my home an LG Smart home!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality, well thought out features The 2019 LG NanoCell is an amazing TV for the price, and I wholeheartedly recommend. I was immediately surprised by how thin the bezels and overall screen were. Set up is smooth thanks to the LG magic remote, which turns the remote into a sort of Bluetooth laser pointer. It makes putting in usernames and passwords for the WIFI and streaming services less of a chore- gone are the days of frantically clicking the remote arrows to navigate an onscreen keyboard. All the major cord cutting services are available an app in the LG store (Hulu, Youtube tv, Netflix, Amazon, Plex, Sling, Youtube, Google play movies, etc). They all run buttery smooth thanks to the new A7 gen 2 chipset. In fact, that is one of the biggest takeaways I had after the first hour of playing around with the TV- the UI/ operating system is very snappy. It makes the smart tv feel feature complete- most smart TVs are a bit laggy as you switch between apps and use it as anything more than a screen. It supports Dolby vision, HDR10, and HLG. Not worrying about the HDR format wars when buying a TV is a nice perk. Picture quality is stunning. The resolution bump up to 4k is nice, but the colors and contrast when you put on HDR content is mind blowing. The 8 series NanoCell only has local backlight dimming instead of the full array dimming in the 9 series. This means there is less contrast between light and dark areas in a scene, as the entire vertical space above/below a bright object on screen is partially lit. LG has a great explanation of this if you web search “lg full array dimming.” The built-in speakers are actually not half bad. You can customize the sound to your space through the TV- you place the remote on the table in front of where you normally sit, and the microphone in the TV listens to calibration sounds from the TV to give you the best possible sound. The TV will pass through Dolby Atmos onto a sound bar or receiver from smart apps or other peripherals plugged directly into the TV. Sound can output through Bluetooth, optical, or HDMI ARC. Overall- Great picture and features for the price, especially considering the marginal improvements in the 9 series. Feels like a true smart TV with the improved processor, leading to a very quick and snappy menus and apps. Supports the two most used HDR standards + Dolby atmos. If you go check out an OLED tv and don’t feel the price difference is worth the improved black contrast, this is the TV for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely a huge upgrade Just got my 49' LG Nano cell tv delivered and I'm impressed! It transformed our tv experience! My fiance and i got right to work to set it up and it was a breeze. The directions are clear and easy to follow. Once set up everything looks so clear such an upgrade from our old tv! I have used the LG Nano technology television to support my work as a graduate student and the ease of using the technology with my smartphone and laptop has eased so much stress. I use it to read my textbooks while working on homework! I love the crystal clear display when watching netflix and it gives me a much needed relaxing break from all the graduate school work. I also use the apps to play yoga on youtube and it is as if the yoga instructor is in my room! Lastly I recently discovered the Gallery which transforms the TV into a beautiful work of art, literally. It immediately enhances the atmosphere when turned on and has a music component that is perfect for studying. Overall, I am loving this Tv and the dynamic accessibility that makes my life easier and provides lots of entertainment desperately needed in my life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Smart TV I've ever owned This is my first LG Smart TV purchase. I love all my LG phones and how clear the picture is and wanted to have another LG product in my house. LG has surpassed my expectations for a tv. I'm so impressed with the Magic remote. I absolutely love how you just point and click to type stuff in, especially useful for logging into stuff. So no more tedious spacing up, down, back etc anymore with this remote. The setup is so easy since "she" talks to you thru the whole process. The huge added benefit to me is being able to talk into the remote to look for movies. No more using and typing in the search bar! It even has a movies button on the remote plus Amazon Prime Video too! I setup my picture and sound whilea movie was on to get the best overall picture and sound I wanted when watching a movie. I can definitely tell a huge difference in color and contrast vs my other brand. The options on this tv to choose different types of color are amazing. I originally had it at HDR Effect then decided to go back to look at other options whole watching a movie. I was amazed at the different selections, how dark some were vs others. I thought Standard would be good until I ran across Vivid. For the movie I was watching, this really popped out and the color was impressive. I felt I could see things clearer than before with this option. I guess I will be researching more on the other options to get a better understanding of it all. I will say this, having additional settings for picture, such as the eye comfort mode is a huge plus. I have learned this with my LG ThinQ phone I have. I have never seen an option for MPEG Noise Reduction though, so this was a nice surprise to say the least. The Moion Eye Care is a added benefit to this LG TV. Another added perk to this In regards to the sound quality, I was really impressed with the internal speakers on this vs my other tv. It sounds clear, as it should. I did have to mess around with it tho to get the best sound for a movie I was watching. I did have a home stereo unit hooked up for surround sound and really enjoyed that, but I needed it for my other tv and sound comparison in this with that was ok but I feel this tv has more options for sound quality vs my other. The surround sound was nice but the tv options and sound I feel was better than my home stereo unit. There are just so many features to this tv that I have yet to discover. I will say that I plan on mounting this to the wall due to the stand for me is a little wobbly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, so far I bought this 65 inch Nano Cell television only 10 days ago, and LG has asked for a review. It's a great set for what I wanted. I view primarily Network TV and Sports. The screen size is what we were shooting for and it delivers in our viewing area. Though available, we've not yet subscribed to any of the Smart TV offerings such at Netfilx, Amazon, Sling etc. However, with young children, our first dwelling into that arena will likely be classic cartoons. I was a bit surprised that the set and Magic Remote did not offer a channel guide or program listings. But our old Universal Remote from the cable provider still functions properly. I've been informed that the television can be updated with tuning and listings ability through a Wi-Fi download that may become available. I don't know much about that yet. But....good tv for the sale price. You can find a cheaper set as long as you have enough room on your base. We were limited, so needed the crescent shaped center base stand.

I am sold on LG products from now on!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good TV...but I miss my plasma The TV is located in a large living room - kitchen great room. When viewed from the living room it is straight on. Viewed from the kitchen, it is at about a 30 degree angle. My old plasma handled this well, no problem. But no one makes plasma TV's anymore. When the plasma went out we looked for a TV able to handle the angle of viewing from the kitchen. Being familiar with computer LCD monitors, I knew a IPS was much better at this than a TN panel monitor. This was a major (read deal breaker) concern. I don't know if OLED TV's have this problem but they are out of my price range anyway. So I find this LG. It seems to be alone as a large panel IPS, modestly priced screen. It does handle the angle well but not quite as good as my old plasma. But I rate a TV on picture quality and here I knock it down a notch. It may not be the TV's fault. I live in a rural area where we (still) have poor internet speeds. I am not able to take advantage of the 4K features such as HDR. Maybe Elon's Starlink internet will fix that. I enjoy this TV. It is smarter than I am. The features are impressive. I would recommend this TV, especially to anyone who has a moderate viewing angle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture is great. The LG is a replacement for a 10 year old Vizio. I wanted to upgrade to have access to other streaming services and to get the latest in technology. I have had the tv now for a couple of weeks and I am very impressed with the quality of picture. I am just using the default settings, but it is awesome so far. I mainly use Netflix and Amazon Prime, but the apps on the LG tv work very well. The remote control is pretty nice as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color and blacks 8600 series Nanocell TV is quite impressive. I really did not expect the black level to be as good as they are, but the TV does approach the quality of OLED in normal lighting conditions. I believe the only time you're going to really be able to tell if you're watching OLED or nanocell is if you have an OLED side by side for comparison. Owning an LG c8 OLED, I was quite impressed with this LCD nano-cell TV and how good the black level is. One thing I noticed from my last year OLED C8 is that the 8600 Nano cell faster Indy menu operations. Even though the alpha 7 ship is in the nanocell versus the alpha 9 chip in the OLED, the LCD TV seems a little bit faster with smart app navigation. For the price LG has created a TV with tremendous value as well as longevity especially if your gaming and are worried about burning issues that may be an issue with OLED TVs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything and more beautiful TV I do a lot of research before I buy anything especially electronics. This has everything and more on my wish list. Only weakness is the stand which I can live with. I have a older LG close to 10 years old on of LG's first 40inch flat screen not a smart TV but the picture is still beautiful. Thank you LG once again a happy camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tv So far we are very happy with this tv. We got the Nano 8 Series 8600PUA 55 and first thing we notice right out of the box is that the tv is light and thin. It was very easy to assemble. We found it easy to find the picture and sound modes and choose between them. Even so we know that a bunch of broadcasts are not in 4k and we had a 4k tv before, we immediately noticed a difference on the image quality with this tv. With this technology the colors really jump at you and has an amazing contrast. Also, it is possible to have very good and clear image even if you are not sitting exactly in front of the tv, but looking at an angle. We use this tv a lot to play games and another big difference for us regarding the image quality was when using our xbox. The images were really good and crisp and It's easier to read captions while playing games on this TV, so overall the visual experience is really good. Another feature we are enjoying is the Google Assistant. The remote control has an "audio" button that you can press to speak and ask google whatever you want, while watching tv. The tv has 4 hdmi and 3 usb ports which is also very good. We use this tv mainly to watch sports and play games and so far we are very happy with our experience.
