Rated 5 out of 5 by from The New Standard It was time to update the television we had and I had been shopping around looking at the various products available. When I saw the excellent picture the G7P produced, especially the high contrast and deep blacks it can produce, I was sold. With some basic adjustments to the picture settings, this panel can produce an image that's like looking through a window at reality just on the other side. The color reproduction is the best I've ever seen. Natural, well balanced and very detailed. There's nothing perfect in this world, but the G7P comes about as close as you can get with current technology. It's easily the best display I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a pleasure to watch!!, Bought it 4 months ago, couldn't be happier with my decision to buy tius TV. Not only has the best picture all around, it's beautiful also when is not on. It's futuristic design makes it a focal point in the room, the interface makes it very easy to switch from one app to another. You don't need to use multiple remotes!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I have hade my 65g7 for one week 100 hours and except for a audio sync issue with my X11 box . Avery light fading band it is terrific . In total nothing I have ever had or seen has had a better picture. The picture on glass and the soundbar Stan make this one beautiful tv. A bit of a learning curve with many adjustments. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have Not Seen a Picture ANYWHERE Whenever I buy electronics or similar high price tag items, I do a LOT of research. And after I read through many of the independent reviews available online and in periodicals, I check out the equipment in at least 2, if not 3 or even 4 retail outlets (especially when it comes to TV's). And there is simply no better picture quality available for the money - period. With the added features and image controls, this is THE set you want.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent picture and concerned sound LG OLED is heavy due to the glass support for the OLED. Many applications (Smart TV) to choose from including linking computer and cell phone (Apple and Android) for audio and video. Picture is top notch as advertised. Many adjustments to play with. As advertised, intense colors and perfect black. With the hype of the Dolby Atmos sound, it's better than a standard internal TV. Like the picture adjustments, there are many settings to play with. One must be more specific on adjustments or the internal sound will not work, voice does not sync with picture, or no voice (missing center channel, but other channels work). This will also require potential setting adjustments to the device providing audio and video. No problems if you use separate amp for external audio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor sound quality Remember the silent movies? You don’t really, that was 100 years ago, but you have seen them. Picture no sound. It lacked realism. The modern day equivalent is the LG OLED TV. A really great picture, and 50 year old sound. First the standard LG TV comes with PCM, which is stereo, think 1950. Only a factory tech with a factory remote can turn on the AC3. You need to call and complain and may be they will send someone out. Only then will you get more sophisticated sound through the LG smart TV system. But here is the catch, not all the systems. So for example, YouTube is stereo only. Example. Go to YouTube on your LG and try playing any of the test your sound system. There are many, 5.1, 7.1, 9.1 7.2.4 . These are the factory tests, so they are reliable. Dolby, True HD, Dolby Atmos, and many more are sound formats. Your LG cannot handle any of them. Go to an internet site to stream music on 5.1. No can do with the LG system. In fact none of the available applications except Netflix's provide anything more than stereo. Maybe you want to use your computer to play home movies, or recorded content with surround sound. No can do, stereo only on the LG system. If you have a Mac with an entire system for presenting entertainment, no can do with LG TV. Want to watch your sports on ESPN, no can do, because LG does not support Adobe’s Flash Media Player. The only way to get high quality sound from your Blu Ray player is to port the sound directly to your Receiver, so the LG does not reduce it to stereo. And yes that is true, with the LG tech standing there in my living room, talking directly to factory senior technical support. This is a compromised system, with limitation every where you turn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but the best I have had this set about a month and it is everything I hoped it would be. The color and clarity are great. An extra surprise is the sound. It is much better than I thought it could be without a sound bar. Web access is easy considering this is my first smart tv. I thought I would need help setting it up, but I didn't.

Can you wall mount the oled77G7P? How

Asked by: Dmp1
The OLED77G7P is really only designed to be used with the LG OTW630B wall mount. I have mounted 2 for work and ran into this issue both times because the client wasn't sold the mount. The way the base is secured for mounting requires the included security clips which double as the mounting points for this specific mount. To use another mount, you cannot use the LG provided security clips and you will have to rely on the mounting arms to keep the base in place which would require long M8 screws for the upper holes and spacers to account for the offset that would normally be addressed by the supplied security clips. The base for the 65" secures a little differently and will therefore work with most VESA mounts.

Can the OLED65G7P be wall mounted without the attached base? I have the unit and based mounted to my wall with the screen sitting out away from the wall. I would prefer to leave the base on a console table and the screen mounted against the wall.

Asked by: JArmijo
I am sorry but you can not separate these pieces on this unit. ^AC
