What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissappointed We've really struggled with this vacuum. I did a lot of research before buying it and felt like it was the best choice. I've been very disappointed with this vacuum. We've had to send it back to the factory 3 times in 3 years to have issues with the suction and the beater bar. I have been so disappointed with this product that I will probably never consider purchasing another LG product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Vacuum Out There...and it's pretty too I bought this vacuum over a year and a half ago and it's still going strong. I'm still amazed every time I vacuum at how much dirt and debris this thing pulls out of my carpets. In fact, this has been the best vacuum I've owned to date. Probably the second best thing about this vacuum is the 40ft cord (which is also a hindrance- see paragraph 2#. I can plug it into a centrally located outlet and pretty much vacuum my entire house without having to switch outlets. Also, the RF controls on the wand are very handy when you're nowhere near the base and need to adjust the suction or power off the unit. The button to switch between bare floors and carpet is also conveniently located on the wand, where it should be. Lastly, the flexible extension piece for the crevice tool has come in handy a time or two, especially when vacuuming out my dryer's lint compartment. This flexible extension accessory allows you to vacuum in places that you never thought you could...or needed to for that matter. I even use it occasionally to vacuum underneath my refrigerator and stove. There are a few annoyances, however, but they are very minimal. First, the vacuum is a bit on the heavy side. I don't mind the fact that it's heavy when hauling it around, that is to be expected, but it could use a little help when pushing it back and forth on carpet i.e. some sort of self propelled feature would be appreciated. My grandma has one of those Kirby vacuums with the Tech Drive feature and even though it weighs more than the LG it is much easier to maneuver on carpet. The other minor issue has to do with the power cord blocking part of the click n go wand. If you need to use the wand for any reason you pretty much have to unravel the entire power cord before the wand will come out. There have been times when I only needed to use the accessories but had to unravel the entire power cord just to get the click n go wand out/back in to its holder. Typically the small jobs only require a few feet of power cord so I would prefer it if I didn't have to unravel all 40ft every single time. But again, these are small nuisances and I have learned to live with them. Overall, this machine does the job and it does it better than any other vacuum I've owned. I should probably mention that this vacuum was rated top in its category #bagless upright# by a "popular consumer magazine" which was the deciding factor in my purchase. To be honest I didn't even know LG made vacuums until I started researching them online. I'm glad I took a chance on this one as it has exceeded my expectations and held up over the last year and a half #knock on wood that it doesn't start having problems now that I've given it so much praise#. Did I mention it that it comes with a 5yr warranty?

SUCTION ON MY LUV400T.

Should the machine be sucking from the ext pipe at the same time as you are vacuuming the floor? seems like im not getting alot of suction to the front brush.
Asked by: angel
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this vacuum cleaner. Once the extension pipe has been fully seated, the suction should turn off on the wand, and then all the suction should come from the agitator. If you continue to have trouble with this unit, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

I have a new 400T / used the pet attachment, but can't get the expandable cord back to normal position / what am I missing?

it appears too much expandable cord and it has to stick out to the side when I use it for normal use / this is not typical for it / there must be another piece to be included, or to make the handle higher when in place for normal vacuuming / help me please !!! thanks in advance for your help
Asked by: Sandy C
When mentioning the “expandable cord”, are you referring to the hose that attaches to the handle? If so, then this hose should have a swivel attachment to connect it to the handle portion. The handle attaches to the dusting brush, which in turn connects to the adjustable wand. The adjustable wand allows the user to adjust the height / length of the vacuum handle.

Looking for replacement or spare filters

One must wait at least 12 hours for the original filter to dry after cleaning it. This is terribly inconvenient if you have not finished cleaning. It would be nice to have spare filters on hand. Please tell me where I can find replacement filters.

I bought the LUV400T vacuum, and on your LG website, you keep recommending the LUV300B model, instead of what I bought. Why? I also can't seem to find the link to give my own review of the product I bought. I am very happy with it!
