What people are saying
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Miss my Kenmore :-( It's a beautiful machine, but we must ALWAYS select the Water Plus option. (Once or twice without it, there were clothes that were still dry at the end of the wash & rinse cycle.) White shirts' collars and cuffs don't get clean, despite following the manual's instructions and using HE detergent. Disappointing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for short people The washer does add enough water, even after adding on the water plus option, to get all the soap and dirt out. I constantly have to use the extra rinse cycle with isw therefore not saving any water. The bulky cycle is the only one that is really useful. Also I am 5'1" and there is no way to reach the bottom of the tub without using a step stool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, love I bought this washer about 6 months ago. We have two dogs and I am constantly washing doggie bedding that is quite large and bulky! I was sick of dragging everything to laundromat. And , we also have two king sized beds so washing those linens was another challenge. I can easily wash king- sized bedding with room too spare. And, it gets my comforters and quilts squeaky clean. Washer has tons of features so you can customize it to your specific needs. And, don't worry, it is user friendly, so easy to operate! I would highly recommend.

Why would the outside plastic tub crack? I've now got a leaking washing machine that's just over 3 years old. I've been doing some searching and can't find this part available anywhere?

I am considering purchasing this machine and have a question. As the load capacity increases on various LG models, does the design and construction of the machines change to accommodate the much heavier load weight?

Asked by: Susan88
A cubic feet capacity is a measure of volume and cannot be converted into a weight measurement, but the Energy Star Qualified LG 4.9 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Front Control TurboWash® Washer w/ Steam, Model # WT1801HWA is designed to support the volume that a capacity of 4.9 cubic feet can hold. A Large cubic feet capacity will hold more volume which means more weight so it will be designed to hold more weight than a washer with a smaller capacity. So as you surmised, as the load capacity increases, the design and construction of the washer will change to support the heaveir load weight...^IFV

How to get rid of bad odor coming out of washer?

Asked by: tony5127
Some environmental and usage conditions can cause a residue to build up in the wash tub over time and can lead to a mildew or musty smell. The TUB CLEAN cycle is specially designed to remove this build up using bleach or other cleaners designed specifically for cleaning washing machines. Run the TUB CLEAN cycle once a month, or more often under heavy use conditions or if an odor is present. You can find information on the tub clean cycle on page 27 of the owner's manual.

How often do you clean the machine and how do I do that  and where do I request a new manual for my washer and dryer.  I have misplaced them, hence the reason I'm asking this question.  Thank you

Asked by: Nicky W
We appreciate your interest in this washing machine. A copy of the owner’s manual can be downloaded from our website at http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-WT1801HWA. It is recommended to run the Tub Clean cycle, as described in the manual, at least once a month to keep the tub clean.

i can't get the Delay feature to work, I turn the power on, set my loads & after 10-15 mins the system shuts down, is there something else I need to do?

Asked by: Sunshine56
The DELAY WASH feature is designed to be activated after the load and cycle information is entered. Press the POWER ON button and then set the load information. Once that is done, press the DELAY WASH button to add an hour on the delay. Each press will add another hour, up to a total of 19 hours. Press the START/PAUSE button to begin the countdown. If the START/PAUSE button is not pressed to begin the delay time, the washer will automatically shut off after 5 minutes, and all the cycle settings will be lost. This information is found on page 25 of your owner’s manual.
