Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible LG product! Bought a WT7500CW and a match LG dryer earlier this year. Soon after delivery the knob selector on the washer became a little unrespsonsive so Best Buy replaced the washer. A few months later the squeaking noise has become louder and louder during the agitation cycle. Called LG directly and they sent out a tech to check it out. The diagnosis was that the clutch mechanism was not properly lubed and a new clutch would need to be replaced. The technician suggested that it would be better to ask Best Buy to replace the unit completely because the process of changing out the clutch might damage other things, he said. What a terrible product!

What does the No.of soil levels mean?

Asked by: Crissy_35long
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer with TurboWash® Technology, Model # WT7500CW has three Soil Level settings, Heavy, Medium, or Light. You would need to determine the amount of soil or dirt on your clothes to select the appropriate soil level to wash your clothes with for an effective wash performance. If clothes or other items are excessively soiled, use the Prewash+ Normal cycle or Soak option on the washing machine to help release the dirt from clothes. At the end of the 30-minute Soak option, your selected cycle will begin with the same water used for the soak...^IFV

So how does smart diagnoses work??

Asked by: Crissy_35long
The SmartDiagnosis™ system on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.2 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer with TurboWash® Technology, Model # WT7500CW has the capability of transmitting data via your telephone to the Smart Diagnosis Team should you experience any problems with the washing machine. This will allow you to speak directly to our trained technicians. It should only be used when instructed to do so by the Smart Diagnosis Team who can be reached at (800) 243-0000. Smart Diagnosis cannot be activated unless your washing machine can be turned on by pressing the power button on the machine. The technician will instruct you to hold the mouthpiece of your phone over the power button, which should be no more than one inch from (but not touching) the machine. You should not press any other button or turn the cycle selector knob during this procedure. You will then be instructed to push and hold the TEMP button while continuing to hold your phone over the power button. Listen for three beeps. After you hear the three beeps, you will need to release the TEMP button while keeping the phone in place until the transmission tone has finished. The time on the display will count down and once the countdown is over and the tones have stopped, you can resume your conversation with the technician who will then be able to assist you using the information transmitted for analysis. Smart Diagnosis is a troubleshooting feature designed to assist, not replace the traditional method of troubleshooting through service calls. The effectiveness of this feature depends upon various factors, including, but not limited to, the reception of your phone that you are using for transmission, any external noise that may be present during the transmission, and the acoustics of the room in which the washer is installed. Accordingly, LG does not guarantee that Smart Diagnosis would accurately troubleshoot any given issue...^IFV

My washer seams like it uses a lot of water. I live in a rural area and am on a well. It has drained my well on occasion. I am curious if there is a water saving mode other than turbo wash? Or should I place less clothes in the machine?

Asked by: Casey411
The WT7500CW automatically adjusts to the size of load. Reducing the size of the load would reduce the amount of water used. ^CP

Hoe do you wash pillows? They just float on top and don't get turned over.

Asked by: GrannyJudy
Hello, please be sure to follow the instructions of the article you are washing. If it is not recommended it be placed in a washing machine, then it would not be recommended it be placed in the machine for cleaning. Please see page 15 of the owners manual under the Caution and Preparation section for cycle settings. ^AC
