What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic performance and features Bought this range 1 month ago -- it is awesome! The stove top heats up super fast and with my stainless steel pans can cook at very low heat quickly -- stove top warms up super quick and responds rapidly to temp changes. The ovens are awesome -- convection bake and roast are becoming favorites and infrared broiler is awesome Love the fact that it has separate timer for each oven (sounds like a no-brainer but very hard to find) Love the music it plays for timer, warm up and completion. Haven't needed to clean yet but am sure that will be fantastic as well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wanted to love this oven, but all I can do is cr I bought this oven almost two years ago and now after yet another ruined dessert, I have to finally be frank with myself and admit how much I hate this oven. Before moving in our house two years ago, we lived in a rental with a cheap and older stove and despite being cheap and old, that stove yielded consistent desserts that turned out almost perfectly each time. You'd think, a newer, much more expensive range would do even better, but that turned out to far from the truth. Every dessert I've cooked in the bottom oven has been a disaster, whether I choose regular heating or convection. I have two independent oven thermometers I started using after desserts started over cooking in the oven and both registered the oven initially as being 50 to 75 degrees too hot (regardless of whether I checked after 30 minutes or an hour). So, I used the temperature adjustment feature to adjust the temperature. Then desserts started being underdone and the thermometers would show the oven as being 50 to 75 degrees too cold. So I turned the temperature to the original setting and still everything would either be under- or over-done (nothing like having to choose between melted or burnt pie crust). There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it, so simply adjusting the temperature would not work. Apparently some internal temperature gauge must be off. Now, to the top oven. The top oven has yielded more tolerable results, as long as I don't cook anything fancy, so it is pretty much the only oven I ever use (which is sad, because I paid for a double oven, but am reduced to using an oven even smaller than a regular one). However, it also has fluctuations in temperature as well, though to a smaller degree (15 to 25 degrees). This results also results in either underdone or burnt pie crust, and other pastry desserts, but the most devastating result is for my cheesecakes. The trick to cheesecake is to cook at a low temperature (200 degrees) for several hours. The oven usually runs hot, but when I cook my cheesecakes, it all of a sudden decides to run cold and my cheesecakes are more like pudding. I cannot understand the reasoning, other than that the oven is not able to run at a consistent temperature throughout baking, so constantly runs hot then cold. Even after heating up either oven, if I turn them off and immediately turn them back on, they'll show up as preheating at 75 degrees lower than the temperature I had them at. I'm not impressed with this range at all and feel like I've wasted my money on an oven I'm afraid to use. The stove top is a little better, but I've discovered that according to it, 5 is high heat and and 3, medium. Anything above 6 yields burnt food and scorched pans, but at least cooking temperatures are more easily adjusted and forgiving than baking. Still, this oven sucks. Rated 1 out of 5 by from got a bad one We bought this off the floor since it was discontinued model. Got it home and set it up and plugged it in and one of the hot surface lights would not go out. We found a lot of dents in the stove. The Tech. came out and said it had a bad circuit board from the factory. With this and all the dents we found the dealer replaced it with another one. I will give our dealer 5 star rating. Got it delivered today and everything seems to be working on this replacement one. Time will tell how this one works and will have to update review later. Rated 5 out of 5 by from love having 2 ovens! I bought this a year ago. I bake cookies at least once a week so having the smaller oven is perfect for two dozen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional I don't often give reviews much less rate 5 stars for anything. This oven, though, is exceptional. So easy to clean the cooktop, have had it a few months and have not had to use a scraper and we cook a lot! Just a bit of cooktop cleaner and it is sparkling again. Seriously. Not a single mark or scratch- very durable. Preheats and boils so quickly it is unbelievable. You do not really even have to set the oven much ahead of time. It is basically ready when you are. Timer and oven preheat alerts are noticeable and the little song is a nice touch. Interior oven finish is great and super easy to clean. Even cooking and baking using multiple racks in the lower oven produces a uniform result. Really love this LG oven. I am extra happy because I am comparing it to the kitchenaid oven with a baking drawer that I bought before this LG. Thankfully the store let me do a one time switch because kitchenaid I give you a rating of 2 for that oven (many reasons incl design flaws- like really the baking drawer fits only the lowest of dishes and if you cook a splattery pie there is absolutely no way to wipe or clean the surface above the baking drawer, who came up with that). Anyway back to this LG double oven, LG you have made us super happy with this double oven!
