LG Electronics has signed a B2B Collaboration Agreement with Saekyung Group, a Korean developer with a long-standing presence in the Philippines, establishing LG as a direct supplier of home appliances and air conditioning across the group's development projects. Under the agreement, LG will supply wall-mounted air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines to 3,371 condominium units at Saekyung Ocean Residence Phase 3, a condominium development in Cebu. The partnership reflects LG's "One LG" approach in action — connecting capabilities across business units to offer partners a single, integrated solution rather than navigating separate product lines individually. As part of the collaboration, Saekyung will also share its development project pipeline with LG, laying the groundwork for continued collaboration. LG’s latest 2.6-megawatt (MW) Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) has qualified as an NVIDIA DSX Ready CDU, meeting the applicable NVIDIA DSX reference design requirements for AI factory infrastructure and earning a listing on the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Marketplace. Categorized by NVIDIA as a “Large-Scale” solution, the 2.6MW CDU expands LG’s ability to address the growing thermal demands of high-density AI infrastructure. With more than 60 years of HVAC engineering expertise, LG is continuing to advance its comprehensive “Chip-to-Chiller” portfolio and strengthen its role as a trusted AI data center infrastructure partner. 📢 LG is expanding its strategic partnership with 마이크로소프트 across the AI value chain, spanning next-generation AI data centers, Physical AI, and AI transformation. On September 21st (local time), LG and Microsoft held a top management meeting at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington, where Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman and CEO of LG Corp., and Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft, along with other senior executives, agreed to establish a strategic partnership. The meeting was attended by key LG executives, including Kwon Bong-seok, COO of LG Corp.; Jae-cheol Lyu, CEO of LG Electronics; Hong Bum-shik, CEO of LG Uplus; Hyun Shin-gyoon, CEO of LG CNS; and Chung Sue-hyun, President of LG Sciencepark. Their participation reflects LG’s “One LG” approach to maximizing synergies with Microsoft across future AI businesses. During the meeting, LG and Microsoft discussed three opportunities to further expand their strategic collaboration and help advance the AI ecosystem. In AI data center infrastructure, the companies will explore business opportunities for LG to supply cooling, power, and infrastructure solutions in support of Microsoft’s global data center expansion. In the near term, the companies will explore opportunities to supply high-capacity cooling solutions for AI data center projects at key strategic locations. Over the mid- to long-term, the partnership will include opportunities for prefabricated data centers that can be rapidly deployed and scaled. The two companies will also accelerate partnership on AI Transformation. As part of LG’s efforts to become an AI-native organization, LG plans to transform its work environment by leveraging Microsoft’s AI and cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365 E7: The Frontier Suite including Copilot, for its entire knowledge workforce globally. LG will focus on designing optimized work environments from the perspectives of security, cost, and operations, while establishing new ways of working powered by AI. The companies will also expand partnering in Physical AI. LG plans to fully leverage Microsoft’s high-performance cloud infrastructure to accelerate the development and training of AI models for physical environments, including manufacturing, logistics, and mobility. The two companies will also leverage their respective infrastructure and platforms to build a “Data Flywheel” that enables a continuous cycle of collecting manufacturing data and training AI models, further strengthening LG’s Physical AI capabilities. We're celebrating a significant achievement for our IR team. Park Won-jae(Wonjae PARK), Head of IR Division at LG Electronics, has received the Best IRO (Investor Relations Officer) award at this year's Korea IR Awards, hosted by the Korea IR Service (KIRS) — LG's third consecutive year of recognition at the event, following the top corporate prize in 2024 and an excellence award in 2025. Over the past several years, LG has deepened how it communicates with the market — holding open shareholder meetings where the CEO and business unit heads share strategy directly with investors, supported by live streaming, bilingual and sign language interpretation, and elevating quarterly earnings calls to CFO-led events since 2024. That same commitment shows up in LG's shareholder returns. Since its 2024 value-up plan raised the payout ratio, introduced a minimum dividend and added semi-annual payouts, LG has retired shares and completed a KRW 100 billion buyback this year — also set to be retired by year-end. LG Electronics has launched a new Air-Cooled Centrifugal Chiller built for the growing cooling demands of AI data centers, expanding its AI data center cooling portfolio with a focus on energy efficiency and operational reliability. At its core is an oil-free magnetic bearing compressor paired with refrigerant-based free-cooling technology, which LG's internal simulations show can use approximately 30 percent less energy annually than waterside free-cooling. Machine learning helps reduce power surges by adapting to operating patterns, while an integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) restores full cooling capacity within three minutes of a power restoration — all managed through LG's Data Center Cooling Management (DCCM) software. Built on Core Tech developed and manufactured in-house, the chiller carries global certifications including AHRI, ASME, ETL and CE, with LG's air-cooled chillers earning the AHRI Performance Award for nine consecutive years. As AI data centers grow in scale and complexity, cooling infrastructure must evolve with them. LG Electronics has expanded the availability of its ThinQ™ UP service for residential air conditioners (RACs) from six European countries to 37, enabling more LG RAC customers to access software upgrades that enhance product value and deliver a more personalized user experience. ThinQ UP allows customers to download and install new software features for their air conditioner through the LG ThinQ app. Start/End Sound can be downloaded now on all 16 ThinQ UP-enabled RAC models, while Energy Saving Mode, Fireplace Mode, Bluetooth Share, Bluetooth Speaker and Set as Wallpaper are planned for future updates.
