LG Electronics has entered into a strategic partnership with SIBS Group, a pioneering modular housing company based in Sweden, to bring factory-integrated smart housing concepts to the global modular housing market. Unlike conventional projects where smart technologies are retrofitted on-site, this collaboration integrates advanced smart solutions directly at the factory stage—ensuring higher quality control, efficiency, and scalability from the outset. Through this collaboration, we will integrate its AI-powered home appliances and HVAC solutions into SIBS-built modular homes—unlocking new possibilities for smarter, more efficient living environments. By combining SIBS’s innovative construction approach with LG’s AI Home and energy-saving technologies, both companies aim to deliver differentiated value to developers and end users alike. As an initial step, LG’s solutions will be deployed in Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Australia, with plans to expand into a wider range of residential developments including townhomes, hotels, and student housing across global markets.
