Terms & Conditions for Warranty of Notebook

IMPORTANT NOTICE

1. Transportation, delivery and handling charges incurred in the transport of the Product to and from LG or its authorized service center will be borne by the consumer.
2. Charges not covered by the terms and conditions of this warranty must be borne by the customer. Such charges may arise through the cost of any service call where the product is found to be in good installation, maladjustment of user controls, or failure to follow operation instructions, main supply defects or external interference.
3. No reseller has authority to vary the terms and conditions of this warranty.
4. Before handing the equipment for service repair, be sure to back up the data of equipment and remove any confidential, proprietary or personal information.
5. The service centre makes no warranties, expressed or implied, with regards to preservation of your data, nor shall LG Electronics be liable for any damages.

OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY

Please note that you have to pay for attendance and correction of the under mentioned problems although the set is under warranty:

1. POWER – No power because the power plug is not pushed in or power is not switched on or no power at points
2. USER’S CONTROL – Not set according to Owner’s Instruction Manual

WARRANTY PERIOD

Notebook:
1 Year International Warranty; Parts & Labor (Carry-in) (Unless Specified)
** International warranty is applicable to countries with authorized service center on the relevant products.

Accessories:
Battery / Adapter: 6 months; Parts & Labor (Carry-in)

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

1. This Notebook set is guaranteed for periods as specified respectively above in respect of service, manufacturing faults, defective materials and parts from the date of registered purchase and LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd guarantees the following:
   
   
2. Servicing will be provided free of charge for the period specified above from the date of registered purchase.
   
   
3. Defective parts will be replaced free of charge if the defect is reported within the specific period from the date of registered purchase.
   
   
4. Notwithstanding anything contained herein, LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd shall not be responsible or liable for any of the following:
   
   
5. Damage or malfunction caused by the act or acts of any person or persons intentional or otherwise, including but not limited to misuse or mishandling, fire or any act of God;
   
   
6. Damaged or missing parts which are reported more than one week from the date of registered purchase;
   
   
7. Damage or malfunction caused by improper or incorrect installation, poor or inadequate maintenance, or use of operation of Notebook otherwise than in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions; Normal wear and tear, corrosion, rust, stains, scratches dents on the body or casing or paintwork of the Notebook.
   
   
8. Any software problems, including the operating system and software added to this products whether pre-loaded or shipped with the Notebook set, or installed subsequently;
   
   
9. Failure resulting from misuse (including but not limited to use of any machine capacity or capability, other than that authorized by LG Electronics in writing), accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment, or improper maintenance by the end user;
   
   
10. Any non-LG products, including those that LG may produce and provide with or integrate into a LG Notebook at your request;
    
    
11. The warranty is void by removal or alteration of any identification labels on the Notebook set or any of its components;
    
    
12. For LCD panel up to 3 non-active pixels may appear on the screen as a fixed point of blue, green or red. This does not affect the performance of the product(s) or does not constitute as a product defect;
    
    
13. LG Electronics does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Notebook set;
    
    
14. LG Electronics is not responsible for any of the owner’s confidential, proprietary or personal information;
    
    
15. LG strongly recommends that separate permanent written records be kept of all-important data. Data may be lost or altered in virtually any electronic memory product under certain circumstances. Therefore, LG assumes no responsibility for data lost rendered unusable whether as a result of improper use, repairs, defects, battery replacement, use after the specified battery life has expired, or any other cause.
    
    
16. It is hereby expressly provided that any liability of LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from, relating to or in connection with the purchase of the Notebook shall not exceed the purchase price (excluding installation charges, if any) of the Notebook. Similarly, LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd’s liability for any breach of this guarantee shall be limited to the purchase price (excluding installation charges, if any) of the Notebook.
    
    
17. This guarantee is valid only in the mainland of the Republic of Singapore.
    
    
18. This guarantee shall not apply in respect of any Notebook which has been tampered with, or which has undergone repair, adjustment or servicing by persons other than those authorized by LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd to do so.
    
    
19. The terms and conditions of this guarantee shall not be varied except with the written and express consent or agreement of LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd.
    
    
20. While LG Electronics (S) Pte Ltd endeavours to repair any defect after the warranty period, it is subject to availability of parts from the manufacturers.
    
    
21. This guarantee shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
